Landings feel unsatisfying

Its weird, in FSX they felt much better. In Fs2020 you don’t feel the touch down really and ther’s no vibration when on the ground. Often I don’t even know if I’m still in the air or touched down already.

It would be really great, if ASOBO would add a less sensitive ground handling to the airplanes as well. Since the final part of a flight should be the most satisfying part. Now it’s just anit climactic really.

The landing - that’s why we got airborne in the first place, right
What do you think about the feeling of the landing in FS2020?
Cheers!

Yeah they should add vibration to the camera when rolling on the ground.

Hopefully in a future update they could add this and make runways a bit worn-out

completely agree, also there is still not much suspension in any aircraft currently in sim compared to reality

Yes I concur!

It’s certainly not as good as XP11 with XPRealistic Pro which adds the most immersive head/cabin shaking movement I have ever seen. It definitely makes you “feel” your landings and takeoffs as well as inflight head movements all independent of the aircraft! Landings certainly have that climax you speak of with XPRealistic Pro.

I hope they or someone creates the same for MSFS20 as your right, it’s unsatisfying at the moment.

I also agree that some FSX aircrafts do feel much much better on touchdown: more spring on the landing gear and often better wing flex.

Didn’t know this addon.
Always used Ezdok for FSX, but I’ve just saw a video of XPRealistic Pro , and it’s way way better.
It’s incredible how something like this can add so much immersion to the take offs/landings.

I have much more experience in a real plane than in a simulator so I guess I kinda expect less from a simulator. I like the idea of adding some site-picture / camera shake. Does anyone know if they have put some effort into modeling the different suspensions of different aircraft?

I did notice that the X Cub has a very nice tire squeak.

Also I wonder if this is something the devs can tweak for each planes (i.e. 3rd party planes could have a better landing experience) or something Asobo needs to sort out…

Also acceleration and braking feels unreal. It both accelerates and brakes way too fast making the a320 feel like a lightweight paperplane.

Yawn, these biased threads really are a joke… it’s a game lol. I have been flying daily all over the world, and yes while there are some minor issues, posts like this are a joke… Unsatisfiying… lol

I certainly miss the vibration on my (very old) force-feedback joystick. It’s good, simple feedback to the pilot that you’re in contact with the ground, both when taking off and when landing.
