Laptop Mouse Pad Zoom Functionality

Running on a laptop with the touchpad (and other peripherals, of course), its occurred to me that I cannot use the standard “two-finger” scroll to zoom in and out of the World Map view and/or the cached map views. In fact, I can’t zoom either of these any way I try. Is there any possible work around for this?

FWIW, it worked fine in testing builds.

Mice are cheap. You won’t be disappointed in the investment.

The point of having a laptop is so you don’t have to carry a mouse around.

I use a Marble Mouse, and have the same issue: no dedicated keyboard shortcuts for zooming in/out prevents zooming in/out on the World Map. Unless the mouse has a dedicated Scroll Wheel, makes flight planning more than cumbersome, and nearly unusable.

I think this could be specific to the keyboard touchpad being used. The laptop zooming on its touchpad works but when I attach a separate keyboard (so that the computer doesn’t block my view on a separate monitor), the touchpad on that separate keyboard cannot seem to use the two finger zoom.

When Microsoft fixes this (someday), they should just have a plus or minus sign (just like on Google Maps) to zoom or not. They could put it right by the "legend’ on the map at the right bottom corner.
