LearFan by Lionheart Creations Released!

Thanks -sadly I’m on an Xbox Series X nowadays so can’t access any of the wonderful WT mods just now…

No it’s the A3X. But even with the Markeyplace version, the panel.cfg is available. I was able to use JD mods 750 and create a config to put the PMS GTN750 in place of the MFD. Sooooo much easier to change COM and NAV this way. If anyone wants the procedure, let me know, it’s just one line in each panel.cfg, or I can made it a “mod” to place in your Community.

Why not go ahead and upload to to the .to site?

Edit - posted on the wrong thread. I’ll send a message to JD. It’s based off his fine work. Would be better in a package with all the others anyways.

Bill O.,

I think there is a bug in both this Learfan and the Quickie, both for Xbox. I really appreciate your dedication to FS over the years, Ive been playing FS since 1983 (FS 2.0). The bug is related to the switch animations in the cockpit and it seems to maybe be triggered by lighting effects commonly at night. It only effects the Quickie dome light and the done light switch which dies not work at night (no animation, no function of the dome light with the switch). On the Learfan, all cockpit switches quit animating in my Xbox version. I deleted and reinstalled the airplane and still did not fix the problem. When originally installed I played it in the daytime and everything worked beautifully. i changed to night, all switches were selectable (knobs turn yellow) but will not operate (flaps switch doesnt rotate, lights switchs do not rotate, landing gear swith no animation, etc.)

Hope you can figure out what the bug is. Enjoyed flying your older Socatas in FS2004 and thru all of the updates and new stuff throuh the years. (Known as violingineer on AVSIM)

Also experiencing this issue (on xbox), see below post.

Had this a couple of times on Xbox Series X. Restarting the flight both times fixed the issue…

Noticed that the PFD Attitude indicator isn’t showing correct attitude- it seems to show the aircraft in a very marked nose-down attitude, even on level ground - not sure why this is, makes it quite difficult to figure out in climb or IFR.

Hey L0rd8r1t1sh

Im sorry this is happening. Sounds like an XBox only issue as we never had the issue in PC version. I really need to get an XBox to test with. But… That said, this is stock Asobo code. I do not see why its failing if its their own stock code that their planes use. I used the codes from stock aircraft for all the knobs and switches. Only specials are luggage, park mode, etc. So they should work.

I’ll post this in our developers/Asobo room and see if they know about this.

This is the actual plane. Her attitude on the ground is indeed a bit nosed down, and also in flight, top end speed, she has to have a nose down attitude to maintain level flight, especially at lower attitudes where the air is thick. Lots of lift.

I wonder if the A3X has adjustable attitude? I’ll look into that.

thanks for the update. Having a real blast with this aircraft and I’m pleased with it - so appreciate all the hard work you’ve put into the model - and your quick responses to questions/comments…

I love this bird!! Great external visuals. Interior visuals are good, but some elements in the cockpit could use come improvements, (weird reflection effect on plexiglass, buttons could use some more detail), and more refinement on the contours of the upper plexiglass area (need to smooth out the lines in the curve).

It’s not perfect but I’m sure that the bugs will be addressed. I feel it’s way too sensitive on pitch. The flight dynamics are not meeting published numbers in the manual i.e. (70kts stall) but will still get airborne at 50kts.

I’m sure that Bill and his team are working at identifying the issues and will issue a patch. This bird is worth the money. It is by no means a study level aircraft, but still is a blast to fly, and will surely benefit from some refinement in the flight model and visuals department.

I own the Q200 and can’t believe how awesome that little bird is to fly and how close to the real thing the flight dynamics are! Bill, you are creating some great products! Keep up the great work!

Would love to see an option to have the WT G3000 in the LearFan, or perhaps you could team up with BlackSquare and have them do a custom avionics package supporting the GTN750 from both TDS and PMS?

A couple of cool screenshots by Greg Martin. This guy is amazing. A very rare, ultra talented screenshot artist.

Hello Borg,

Thanks for the kind words.

If you take off with Asobo standard half fuel, no passengers loadout, she handles much lighter. If you go to weights before takeoff and load her up to the max, ‘then’ she barely gets off the ground at published manual speed, and she will stall really well then.

She does have a nose issue when breaking when fully laden. I hope to get that figured out soon. You’ll only encounter that when fully laden, on the ground, heavy breaking.

Happy flights!

This plane has become one of my favs. Really smooth , feels like fly by wire and the climbing rate is awesome. Been flying it a lot lately. Will you be doing more liveries? Would love to see that!

I’m really enjoying flying this!

Is anyone getting constant Pitot heat messages on the PFD no matter what you do with the switches?

Also above 30k feet are you getting a message about cabin pressure differential on the PFD?

Gotta pass on this one, we’ll hopefully see the Epic Victory release in MSFS from LHC one day.

I get those errors with the Working Title G3000 and G3X mods. I don’t think this aircraft has been tested with it though. Once I disable the mods and reverted to stock standard avionics those errors cleared.

Downloaded yesterday, and liking the model and performance. 2 stability and control problems though. 1, too slow in roll overall. Really needs about double the roll authority. 2, a bit twitchy in pitch on takeoff. Using flaps 2 with more nose up trim helps, but I’m struggling to keep from striking the prop or tail on takeoff.
