LearFan by Lionheart Creations Released!

Ah, well hopefully he’ll be able to update/add it possibly. Thanks much sir!

Personal Comments and Observations

I’d eschew the G3X in favor of the G1000 NXi at the minimum. This was supposed to be a business turboprop. Although a product of the late 70s/early 80s, it’s not far-fetched to imagine if it existed today that time would push a glass cockpit into the plane via STC. The NXi is more appropriate for a class and performance envelope of this type - max 350 ktas, FL410. The G3X market and capability was always aimed at small GA aircraft that would typically be VFR only.

Thanks for the info!

Mr. Ortis,

Would you consider an edition with more muted colors in the interior, specifically with black or dark gray panel buttons, more reserved panel switch and circuit break labeling, etc, rather than the bright blues, greens, and reds? I see a fair degree of consternation about these color choices on this and other forums, while the rest of the aircraft is usually well regarded. Additionally would you consider a more matte texturing on the yokes? They almost look like they are reflective and “glowing” compared to the surrounding cockpit accentors.

Thanks! Looking forward to your future products!

A couple of possible ideas/updates:

Iirc this plane uses the Garmin G3000 avionics but it is not using the latest WT version of the G3000. I think this change might be very simple for the dev is it possible to get an update to the new WT G3000?

About the buttons I also found the red and blue buttons too bright and a little annoying maybe you can tell us which file has the textures for these buttons so we can create a quick community mod to change them to black?

Thanks!
(also looking forward to the WT collection upgrade to the new G3x).

I will make a Mod with muted light switches and release it within my repaints within the next week or two.
The file will be available at flightsim.to

Thank you very much!
Is there any chance you can change the Avionics to the ones in the Longitude? That would make a lot of sense for the LearFan I think.

Appreciated, this plane needs a revamp!

I can’t…sorry. this is something left for Bill to do.
I am sorting out textures to identify switches. This will take a bit as I think the switches have a decal applied.

I opened all the texture files with Gimp and couldn’t find the switches textures anywhere. Please let me know if you find them!

Bill: Any chance to get the Longitude avionics by WT on this plane? thanks!

The switch colors are hard coded…sorry will not be able change.

I was afraid of that. We depend on Bill now.
Crossing fingers.

If it’s hard coded colors, that could explain the Fisher Price colors…

Hello Jazz,

I updated the LearFan to the new G3X that Asobo use in the Beech KingAir. I note that its not the same as the XCub uses. It is slightly different and configured for a small single engine plane, while the Beech is a turboprop.

They might have differences. The XCub might also not have the same MFD, or may not have a MFD for that matter, like the KingAir uses.

I hope that helps.

For those trying to figure out how to flip the MFD Map from North to View, I havent figured it out either. I am guessing that its broke on the last update from WorkingTitles. Its not in the menu, the normal selector button doesnt work.

:frowning:

The switches are indeed hard coded on their colors.

Apologies.

Hello Luis,

On the G3000 Avionics request. That is a nice panel in that Longitude. Let me see if I can do this. I think it would be a nice step up. I love the G3X, mainly for touch screen. Advanced… The screens in the G3000 look far more advanced then the G3X. Especially in the MFD and the 2 mini screens.

Thank you Bill I think the G3000 fits more the style of the LearFan than the G3x but if that is a lot of work to you then no problem.
If by any chance you can make those red and blue switches black I’m sure 99% of the users of the plane will appreciate the gesture.
Thanks!

Is this something that you are willing to revisit in the future to provide more muted colors? While this is a conceptual aircraft in representation (with the real one having a cockpit closer in appearance to the Flysimware Lear 35), I think there has been some dissatisfaction from users that hope they can move away from the dayglo colors.
Overall appreciate what you provided to us at reasonable cost, and I’ve been generally happy with your other products, so this ask is being attempted with great respect to your portfolio.

Point made. Many have complained on the colors of them. I’ll change them all to black.
Perhaps I can group them so that a repaint can give them colors to the sections, so people can revert back who like the color variations.

I got the idea from Epic with their E1000/LT. Blue is deice, Red is engine and fuel, and black is airframe and misc. Cant mess up and click the wrong switches (hopefully).

Ask and you shall recieve, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you.
