LED lights exists on modern aircraft. The current lighting is old and generic. Strobes are not bright, beacons are dim.
We need LED light flash technology with new aircraft. For example the realife TBM is LED along with the new A320 and Boeing max
Strobe pattern should be on pause off. With beacons being slightly slower.
This could easily be coded in for generic led strobes for the newer aircraft. The current lighting code cannot be edited for new led effect.
I hope it is ok to comment here and add-on a wish-list item for this ‘Aircraft Lighting’ topic.
It would be very nice to have purchase options for much brighter lighting for the Cessna 172 and all aircraft lighting.
Perhaps even a ‘searchlights’ option?
There are commercials on TV for these new space-age flashlights that can light up your neighborhood (and set some things on fire), and get real sad and nervous doing low light and night time landings.
Related: Are there any people out there in the real world or sim community doing strip lighting or doing more to light up the external surfaces? BMW and others have now covered entore automobiles in LED and projected lights, images, video.
It seems it could be much safer doing night flying of you could see more than just a few lights on other planes and be able to make out surfaces.
