Hi all,
Not on here, but on the Facebook group of Asobo Flight Simulator 2020, people have commented that there are certain distributors who I won’t name specifically that make their aircraft poorly or cheaply resulting in errors with the paint scheme, livery, etc.. when a user goes to download the aircraft. Most of these are found on the FS2020 marketplace within the flight simulator. How is everyone’s feelings/experiences with FlightSim Studio? I was considering purchasing the E170/190 package.
PS: From the short time I have been on this forum, I must say everyone whom I’ve communicated with has been very respectful and nice. The Facebook page is well?? LOL let’s just say a little bit of the opposite. Thanks everyone!
Flightsim Studios AG are a Swiss company with a good reputation. Their E-Jets are actually X-Crafts exterior models, who they’ve partnered with for the program. FSS have been pretty transparent in that the product is a WIP, updated every few weeks, with the long-term aim of getting it to study-level. At the moment it’s much of the way there, and it has features seldom seen in a £30 airliner (e.g. proper functioning windscreen wipers, that actually smear the raindrops).
It’s a decent price, for a very decent (if not yet perfect) airliner. The exterior model is fantastic, and while the systems are mostly based on default aircraft (for now), they’ve been sufficiently modified to feel very different. I’d say it’s one of the best airliners in the sim. It’s not available in the Marketplace but is sold by many reputable sites, including Aerosoft (who market it in Germany), Contrail, Simmarket, flightsim.to and Just Flight.
It’s slightly more demanding on hardware than the PMDG 737 and Fenix 320, but you can largely negate this by turning off the cabin interior. Of course this is far less of a worry if you have a decent PC.
I’ve only had the 170/175 pack for just over three weeks and there’s been one update already, with the next scheduled for tomorrow (or was). Their website keeps users bang up-to-date regarding future updates and what they’ll feature.
The only downside it that it becomes quite an expensive add-on if you want both the 170/175 and 190/195.
