Has the lens flare in external camera views been removed? I saw that someone bug-reported that it had been added and (in their opinion) didn’t look good.
I thought it looked great in VR - but it seems to have disappeared - am I missing something?

I always found the effect to be odd, because our eyes don’t have multiple lenses like cameras. Sun flare is okay though.
Can’t you just turn the option off in settings?
I don’t know - that’s what I am asking - I haven’t found a setting for it and it no longer appears in external views in VR…
The effect is in the external camera view - hence the lens flare. Where in VR are you seeing sun flare?
Not at the sim right now, but in 2d mode there is definitely a lens flare setting. I assume there is the same in vr but not certain.
Just realise, no Lens Flare in VR settings
In VR you have stereoscopic vision, you are looking at the world through two sets of lenses (like binoculars). For lens flare effect you would need separate lens flare for each eye/lens. When judging the binoculars quality, lens flare is not considered as desirable.
I’m not asking for an explanation… or whether it is desirable or not. 
Lens flare used to be visible in the drone camera in VR - now it is not and has not been for some time. I was asking if anyone else has noticed this?
