Let the Moon Cast Shadows on the Ground & Other Objects

Hello,

“Before you create new topics in this section, please use the search function to look for existing topics that cover your idea.”

I looked and did not find any topics specifically covering the subject of “moon shadows”.
The only thing I saw was a discussion of ray tracing and the reflection of light in a more generic topic. Therefore, I’m thinking that this is okay to put on the wish list.

“We only want one topic per idea. Duplicate posts will automatically be rejected from our moderator team without a message. Thank you for your help!”

Trying my best, and am hoping it’s not a duplicate-- here we go:
We have well represented sun shadows in the daytime. How about using the same coding/formula, to produce moon shadows at night?

Like the sun, the moon is a source of light in the sky, so I would think that it’s fairly easy to do the same thing-- only much dimmer with maybe less contrast.

Or is it a lot harder to accomplish than I realize?

Thank you in advance for your consideration.
