[LIST] Got Friends: Development Hangar

I was just thinking the other day we should contact Glade about creating a number of flight simulator scent packs (oil, fuel, dog fur, etc.) we could use along with a fan in front of us for that dash of realism!

I have a couple spark plugs from FIFI that I got after my ride, for months after getting them they had that “used aircraft oil” smell to them, Had them hanging above my sim pit lol added that 5th sense while flying in VR

I mean, it IS a thing. Need to contact Asobo to make it compatible? Good luck with that.

I would also love that for when I’m playing my other sim passion, Hunter COTW. Already considering spending money on a treadmill / walking pad for that, as at the moment I’m just walking on the spot (with mobile phone in pocket and Stepl app sending “W” key pushes).

It’s great that you have an understanding wife or girlfriend.

No argument there at all. She is as much a gaming person as I am (more into No Man’s Sky, Crimson Desert and Manor Lords at the moment though). We say stuff like “I’m leaving it to you, Leon” or “I am sworn to carry your burdens” to each other at least once a week, as we bonded over a lot of games through the decades.

Hi, did you know Taylorcraft modified the J/1B Aiglet to do cropspraying after the war? I wondered whether the Taylorcraft we have could be modified for the agricultural Company in Career for this purpose?

Piper Super Cub | Development Sneak Peek!

The Super Cub is officially in Microsoft Flight Simulator! With our previous aircraft stability updates and other obligations behind us, we’re finally shifting our full attention to full-time development of the Super Cub!

Here’s an early look at the exterior and interior of our Bush variant as we begin bringing this legendary aircraft to life. We’re still in the early stages, with plenty of work ahead on systems, animations, flight dynamics, and all the little details that make an aircraft feel alive.

We’re also excited to announce that the Super Cub will feature 5 landing gear configurations and 3 engine variants, for a total of 15 unique Super Cub configurations!

Of course, Craft Pad will be making its return, and aircraft customization is going to be a major focus of this project. What you’re seeing today is just a small taste of our bigger vision. We want to give pilots the freedom to build, configure, and personalize their Super Cub like never before.

Lots of exciting development ahead. We’re just getting started!

you guys just dont want my hobby account to recover do you ;p

I’m I right?

I say:

Why not

Tank treads
Office chair castors
Inline skates
Cannoli (experimental)

Excited for this. Crazy seeing all these $80 airliners shipping and I’m getting psyched for the $25-30 planes I can land in the woods behind the house.

Nope. You don’t use an apostrophe when pluralizing.

My typos aside…

I’m with you. I’m happy for the “bus drivers” enjoying their new toy, I really am I was one of them before.

But, a real Super Cub, finally is exciting.

Super excited for this! I just downloaded a bunch of Alaska scenery with this in mind. It’s funny, I’ve been wanting to ask if you could share an update on this for the past… month or so, but was finally thinking today’s the day, and here we are!

I’ll take a different tack on the guessing game - so 3 engine variants, eh?..

95 HP: The OG
150 HP: The Standard
180 HP: The Experiment

Although I seem to remember you are going for an earlier-period model, so in that case 95, 125, and 150 HP would give a nice, balanced range. I just know there will be folks asking for the -180.

What are the chances we can add a belly pod for extra cargo or fuel?

Your first guess was mine too, although your second guess does make sense with their statement of going older in model

It looks like my personal heaven. I can’t wait!!

Welcome to Build-A-Cub! (No, not Build-A-Bear!)

The Piper Super Cub has earned its reputation as one of the most versatile and customizable aircraft in general aviation history. For decades, pilots have been modifying their Cubs for everything from backcountry adventures to everyday flying. Different engines, landing gear, wheel types, propellers, instruments, avionics, cargo and countless personal touches have made it nearly impossible to find two Cubs that are exactly alike!

We’re bringing that same philosophy to Microsoft Flight Simulator and this will be the primary focus of the Super Cub! With literally hundreds of customization options planned through Craft Pad, our goal is simple: Make your Super Cub YOUR Super Cub. We want every pilot to have the freedom to build something unique, with an aircraft that looks and feels different from the one parked next to it.

Along the way, we’ll be sharing occasional behind-the-scenes development insights, screenshots, and little sneak peeks into the work that goes into bringing all these options to life. From 3D modeling to the smallest functional details, there’s a whole lot happening in our workshop!

Your Cub. Your Rules. Build-A-Cub!

I want a Batman costume and a ridiculously overpriced mini skateboard for my Cub!
