I am looking for a complete list of all controls options. I need this list (overview) for finding proper functions for my flightsim hardware
Thanks
Alhard
I would recommend you try a site such as this:
I asked for this too, and my thread got removed, so not sure this is ever going to happen.
Keyboard assignments are NOT a listing of the Control Settings in the sim, itâs how to make the keyboard work a function, if you do not know what/how/why function exists, then this will not do you any good. We need a way, to at least print out the complete âSettings-All three areasâ so we can check and keep record of what we have setup, in case this sim crashes, instead of having to do it from memory. I did take the time to write them all down, and need to type that up, been more involved in X-Plane 11.
If you are on a PC, you could copy your control files to another drive and reinstall them when you are
up and running again.
The settings are also kept âin the cloudâ and are restored if the sim is re-installed, although I have seen cases where that data mysteriously disappeared.
Go into controls, select filter âAllâ.
Maybe could be useful for you the file
âŠ\Official\OneStore\fs-base\en-US.locPak (or other language)
open it with notepad and go below to commands starting with âINPUT.KEYâŠâ
Thanks for your advice. I knew this very good collection, but I thought itâs only for Keyboard assignments.
BUT No, I can also use it for all my controller hardware. Thanks again.
Hi, I fully agree. But this list could be a starting point for my personal documentation of ALL my MSFS controller assignments.
I am using : Keyboard, Mouse, Saitek X52, Thrustmaster TCA Airbus AddOn and a privat developed controller electronic. And all these for different Aircrafts : Helicopter, Airbus, Beech Baron, etc. So I have at least 20 controller option configurations !! This is not easy to document!
I would like to have a more user friendly method for assigning my controllers, with e.g. a tool.
I agree, see my post to MeridianSquid71 before.
I tried to extract the control assignment information out of these folders:
C:\Users****\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData\wgs
Example : Saitek X52 Profil A320 0EF7CEBA0A2A4DBEA832C7F520351503
and a partly extract.
Thanks, but this I know. See may posts,
Thanks Flavio, this is a great hint and helps a little. But there is no controller hardware information.
Have you considered Axis Anf Ohs from Lorby?
I donât own it therefore I canât tell you if it is useful but it seems interesting
Yes I did. Itâs not yet useful due to the fact that all these tools are working via SimConnect. MSFS has not yet fully integrated all SimConnect variables and not yet published . âAxis And Ohsâ and FSUIPC are great Tools for FSX and P3D and hopefully in future for MSFS.
They have, actually: SDK Documentation
And Iâm still not clear on what youâre looking for. Youâre looking for âhardware specificâ button possibilities?
All - What a great thread, lots of great information shared here. Well done all. Sounds hard, but, when game was released, and I used a Logitech 3D Pro JS. I did write down all the buttons and their assignments at that time and saved into MS Word. When I purchased the Virpil Mongoose base and VFX grip. I took that list and as much as I could duplicated those same button assignments in the new equipment, as they were close. Did setup some new ones in places easier to use with fingers.
For the Virpil Mongoose TM-3 Throttle unit. I actually played with it for a bit, seeing how my left hand was working things, buttons, hat switches, etc., and then made a list (pen and ink) mirroring as close as possible, the actual layout in the cockpit versus the location of the switch or button. For instance, the parking brake in MSFS is bound to T3 switch, because itâs in CP to the left of throttles. I posted my assignments and how they are setup someplace herein, you can search for it if interested. It took while to figure out how I wanted Reverse Thrust, because could not figure out way, to set throttle levers at rest (as far back as 1st detent will allow), and then setup Reverse Thrust. In real Plane, there are levers you actually pull back, that engages RT. Honeycomb Bravo has those levers, but too big for my desk, sold it. Nevertheless. I just bound button for RT for now. Working with fellow on YT, who does lots of setup videos, and he is working on how to do it. Once released will post link here so all can see. It might help in this current situation.
Pieter1982NL - That is exactly what I think many of us are needing. Thank you for that link. Itâs going to take a lot of paper for all of them, but it seems their they are. Now if I can take that list, export into Excel, add a column showing how or even if I have that feature assigned it will be good. Being able to download and print âour assignments in the gameâ would also be a better option.
Hi Pieter,
I am looking for a printable list of all my assignments. I need this for having control over all my hardware axis and pushbuttons configuration.
In my flightsim configuration I am using Keyboard, Mouse, CH Pedals, Saitek X52, Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Edition and AddOn, PUMA PAS helicopter control, and a self build micro computer based electronic for e.g. light switches and an Airbus Tiller, APU Master, APU Start, APU Bleed push button and others.
As I am flying since at least 20 Years Helicopter, Airbus and Beech, I need for all these a special control assignment configuration in MSFS. So in summary I need a printable list of my 7X3 =21 variations.
I have long time experience with FSX and P3D and I am using since at least 10 years Pete Dawsons FSUIPC. FSUIPC is recognizing which Aircraft I am flying and is assigning the proper hardware profile. This is what I need again.
Now to your hint with MSFS SDK. This is a very good base for investigation and using this informations. But as I said before e.g. a Simconnnect Variable for APU MASTER, APU START, APU BLEED I can not find here: Variables for A320 APU
No problem for FSX and P3D!
Thanks for reading and greetings from EDDN.

HI Montgomery, thanks for your detailed report of what you did. See also my post to Pieter.
Did you already publish your MS WORD doc or your EXCEL doc ?
