Listening to ATC and ATIS Together

I was watching some YouTube videos on ILS training and forgot that you monitor comms traffic and listen to ATIS briefly for weather at the same time.

So that got me thinking, is this possible in the simulater? I have never thought about trying that.

You can only do this if you’re close enough to the arrival airport to pick up ATIS. All things considered, that’s roughly about 40NM away. Switch another COM and manually dial in the ATIS frequency. You’ll need to know that in advance using airport information charts.

Yes, i pre tune my atis on com3 using charts.

I do this too, but be careful you can still hear the primary frequency as that takes priority
