During those scenic VFR flights, I enjoy listening to music from the area that Iām flying in from https://radio.garden. Try flying through the Austrian Alps while listening to German Oompa folk music. It really adds to the immersion. I recently did the Tasmanian bush trip while listening to stations from Tasmania. So cool to hear those Australian accents while listening to local Tasmanian news. The site is so easy to use, you just point and click on a map to get stations from around the globe.
Yeah, I do that with JumpSeat radio. About 3 weekends ago when I was flying in Alaska, the Junea radio station I had on had songs in Eskimo. I guess I never thought about music in the Eskimo language, so I was surprised. (Donāt get mad at me. I havenāt been exposed to Eskimo culture before, so it was honestly I never even got to the point of thinking āI wonder if Eskimoās singā). So not only are you experiencing what the area looks like, you are also getting exposed to the culture, which I find really really cool.
I have 3 hr 45 min of cabin music - itās mostly calm and soothing stuff (but Iām an old 70ās music guy so it fits). My favorite is the Singapore Airlines Boarding Music. Itās really smooth and relaxing. Iāll have to try jumpseat.
I like to use JumpseatRadio from mrbogster, available in flightsim.to (link below).
You can listen radios around the world directly connected with your flight position. Is fun because you can listen different styles of radios and music, depending where you are in MSFS world. And of course you can save your Favorite radios to listen, despite where you are. JumpseatRadio
I often listen to music and podcasts while flying. Music-wise I listen to almost anything pre-2010. Iām not too picky with music. Any genre, 50ās to 00ās. Rock, rap, country, metal, pop, r&b, etc. But I donāt really care for anything made in the last decade or say, except a few here and there.
