Little Navmap on Linux

Hi all, I would like to share something that may be of interest to you. I have been using Little Navmap for navigation purposes for quite a while on my fairly old Toshiba laptop (only 4 Gb Ram!), connected to MSFS via my home network. I found it was painfully slow (on W10) so I decided to dual boot the laptop with MX Linux 21 and then installed the Linux version of Little Navmap. All went well and all I can say is “wow” what a difference in speed compared to trying to use LNM in W10. I thoroughly recommend using MX Linux on an old laptop or PC if you want to use LNM on a secondary screen via your home network.

I find its much easier using the browser on my tablet to connect to LNM. Its only a browser so i just run it on my tablet, and you don’t need to install it. I can even open the browser on my phone too (for when the kids are using the tablet)

Great idea and thought
no doubt windows has become bloatware that eats up a lot of resources that can be tough on older hardware
thats a good solution for me as well, thanks for posting
