I’m trying to find a mod that shows my landing fpm accurately and is fast updating. Needle guages are useless and glass cockpits ten to just show just 50 fpm increments… and even then only from 100 fpm. im looking for a ticker or mod for a second screen that is accurate to 10 fpm or below. Does such a thing exist?
Hi @Webbywebb66. Welcome back to the forums!
I believe there are quite a few options for measuring landing FPM. In my case, I use Volanta to track my flights and it gives me this information after each landing:
Of course there is, see below
Open an account, you get your landing FPM monitor in-game. Apart from that, you also get live flight tracking, online logbook that works flawlessly instead of the bugged MSFS log, flight path and performance analysis, mapping, simbrief integration, EFB on a separate device etc.
And is free
If you’re looking for one to display on your screen overlay in real time (ie. not just post-landing like Volanta or STKP), you can check this one out which allows you to customize various overlays onto your screen and displays live VS information (among other things) and will freeze/capture your landing rate as soon as you’re wheels down. It’s simple, but does the job if that’s what you’re looking for (and free, with no account required):

Cheers
Thanks but I’m looking for in-flight stats as overlay or separate screen.
Yeah thats the kind of thing I’m looking for. In-flight as overlay or separate screen. Cheers. I’ll give it bash.
I made this:
It gives you a real-time glide slope angle and height AGL. It would be really easy to also add a vertical speed. I will look into doing that today.
100% freeware Gees.

Gees keeps showing a thin white border on the left side of the screen and interferes with screenshot/video taking.
How about lrm https://www.lrmclient.org/
This is updated now. The latest release 0.6.0 has an instantly updated (no gauge lag) vertical speed rounded to 10 fpm increment.
Flightsim.to claims it’s not compatible with sim update 10?
Just drop it in the community folder? Just downloaded
Yes, unzip and put the hallidave-tool-landing folder in your Community folder. You will get a new icon in the toolbar (looks like an airplane landing).
Oh my. An excellent addon for the upper tool bar. Well done! Installed it and it’s perfect for what I need (smooth landings in NeoFly 4 ).
