Does installing the IVAO Altitude program add files to the Official folder, or just the Community folder? I don’t want to risk the game not working if Official files are replaced.
When overwriting the csl files with the github files, does the github file named convert_icao.py go in the Simobjects folder with all the planes, or in the main csl folder with the layout.json and manifest.json files?
I have it installed. I’m seeing mostly foreign airlines on the ground. No Delta, American, United, Southwest, etc. Some planes are floating. In the air there is very little traffic, and what there is is all generic. No real liveries in the air. Anything else I can do?
Also, do I have to uninstall all the airline liveries I previously installed in the Community folder?
Yes that’s MSFS placing the parked ground planes. It’s hard coded and doesn’t look at the liveries. Has nothing to do with this traffic mod. If you don’t want it you can turn the slider for ground traffic down in settings.
I have deleted this program for now. I tested it at KDFW Detroit, which is a Delta hub. I only saw a lot of foreign airlines at gates. No American, Delta, United, etc. Only generics in the air. I went back to my original Communiyy foldrer, and I have all the above airlines, and no foreign ones. Much more realistic. I look forward to the update this week.
What program did you uninstall? I installed the IVAO csl pack, wich resulted in only static aircraft. 5 ANA A380 at the gate at Oslo isn’t really realistic lol😄. What program are you using now where you say it is more realistic?
It was the IVAO csl pack. Not really sure where my liveries are coming from now. I’ve installed some from the Liveries Megapack, and I think they work with the AI aircraft too. Also installed the AI Liveries mod. Generic planes move on the ground and in the air. I have real time traffic as on, and no for using generic planes.
One thing I’ve had from the beginning. Liveries show up backwards until you get close to planes. Then the titles switch and appear normal. Not many people are commenting about this though.
