Started in Inverness this morning:
Despite the METAR showing clear clouding and having live weather enabled, not a single cloud in the sky.
Things I’ve tried:
Nothing seems to bring up live weather. Any ideas?
Global warming? Perhaps not!
How long did you give it to get the weather? It sometimes takes a minute or two.
It can be very intermittent.
I am flying from EGXC and getting a good real weather representation - it is weird at times.

I haven’t actually seen live weather at all at any airport in the past few weeks.
Check this post, it may help: No clouds at all. No presets generate clouds. Its always clear - #3 by DementedCorn327
Did a test at same airport as you and have clouds:
When I clicked on Live weather button it stayed on off… Always had it live.

Yesterday there was some server issues with the release of SU11 and in that case some DATA options are automatically disabled. Then users have to manually set them back to “ON”. Maybe that is what happened.
Flew again this afternoon - same location - no live weather!!!
Which location ? EGXC or EGPE ?, could you send a screenshot and with the METAR if available ?

I have tried all of what you have mentioned.
I can have three flights (normally from EGXC) over the day and have live weather on one occasion - without changing anything on my PC or Sim.
It can be a very unpredictable simulator.
Similar to the poster of this thread, since the 40th Anniversary update I cannot select any pre-set in the pre-set weather section. It’s also not possible to select or set anything when using the Custom weather setting, alloptions are greyed out, the screen displays Live Weather.
Also, not that I fly in Multiplayer but none of the Multiplayer buttons are selectable. The Flight Conditions section seems to have some serious bugs.

Can you share a screenshot of your “General Options/Data” and “Flight Conditions” screens ?. It will help a lot to try understanding where the issue could be.
Here are my screenshots. I don’t mean to hijack this thread, please say if I need to create another. I realised that the Multiplayer function is enabled/disabled in the Data section and that is actually ok.
EDit: The screenshots below remain the same if I enter an Origin or From Airport; or leave it blank. I usually fly out of (EGGD Bristol).

Thank you for sharing. All setup look good, I don’t see a reason why having the preset and custom weather unvailable. I tried to reproduce but cannot on my system. This is the 1st time I hear about that issue.

I want to confirm that others are suffering this identical problem, namely me. Everything was working beautifully with SU11 until I toggled the Multiplayer button earlier today. I realize, of course, that Multiplayer disables the ability to choose your own weather. But when I toggled Multiplayer back OFF, where I usually keep it, I permanently lost the ability to select my own type of weather. I’ve rebooted and signed out of the sim and the Microsoft Store and XBox, etc. Nothing works. By the way, I’m using the PC version. My screens look exactly like those posted above. I can see the options to customize the weather, but they’re all grayed out. My PC is behaving exactly like I have Multiplayer selected. But I don’t have Multiplayer selected – trust me. Other than this, the sim is working fantastically. I love the 40th Anniversary Edition. I noticed there have been server issues today. I wonder whether our problem with missing weather customization might be related to that. Perhaps our settings in the cloud got corrupted or something. What’s ironic here is that many people are reporting they can’t get Live weather. I can ONLY get Live weather.

Ok, I have been able to reproduce the issue and the way to fix it is always having “Multiplayer” set to “ON” in the General Options/Data and then in the Flight Conditions manually set Multiplayer to “Off” or “All Players”. Hope it will work for you. But yes, I agree that there is a logic issue if “Multiplayer” is set to “OFF” in the General Options/Data, Preset/Custom options should not be greyed out.
