- uninstalled MSFS2024 via Steam
- went to %AppData% and deleted the subdirectory (C:\User\YourName\AppData\Roaming) and deleted “Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024” Directory
- rebooted
- reinstalled MSFS2024 via Steam
- started MSFS2024
- Pulled Network Cable
- got the quarter screen green XBOX login
- reconnected Network cable
- managed to signon
so “just” one day of frustration…

It’s fixed on my side.
How? It just worked. I did the exact same thing as the 50 previous times, but this time it worked.
God only knows…
Also got stuck at 0% language download. Tried every tip I found, English language pack, sync time in PC and more. Eventually I did this as I suspected the Xbox account causing the problem:
I disconnect the network (inactivated WiFi)
Started MSFS24 and just clicked away the messages.
Connected the network again.
After a little while I got an Xbox logon window, then I logged in and download started almost emidietly.

So I went on ChatGBT and asked. I have mine installed via Steam.
After doing this, it worked. Unplug Ethernet/disconnect WiFi, enter game, it says it needs internet connection, connect Ethernet/WiFi, then Xbox pops up with possibility to log-in. Then it works after a short moment.
It seems like it is Xbox doing this language loading bug.

The fix worked for me with a twist. I could not enter my userid or password in the input fields provided. I would click on the field and the cursor would appear for a brief moment and disappear. I had to repeatedly click on the field while simultaneously repeatedly pressing the keyboard key for each character until the character was accepted. What a PITA.
So what did you do to pass the screen for loading the launque screen ?
i am getting this error for the last hour or so. unfortunately the workaround of running the game without internet and reconnecting it did not work.
i also tried logging out of xbox account and logging in from the web and that didn’t seem to make any difference either, although it did seem to accept my login after the 2nd try. the first time it hanged. the website was completely unresponsive the first time i tried going to it which leads me to suspect that something is amiss with that

When it first launched with my network cable disconnected, i went through the link my account without network. After a minute or so, it said this game requires internet and I plugged it back in. Then, after a minute or so, the link my account showed back up, this time after clicking the xbox login showed up.

Thank you so much everybody ! It worked for me that way:
1 - disconnect from internet (wired and wifi)
2 - start the game (from Steam for me)
3 - click on button asking to connect to Xbox
3 - wait for prompt asking for internet
4 - reconnect to internet
I finally got a box to connect to my ms account.
But what a shame for MS to welcome new MSFS 2024 users that way !
Ive been trying for 3 dayrs solid now all specs of machine reach standard as does Internet speeds im at a loss wether to wait for the next update or just get a refund so bad this

• When I get this problem my solution has been to do a CTRL ALT DEl and remove flightsim exe from task master. The restart fs2024. It will now prompt you to select safemode or continue ; I just continue and it seems to work.
I have the same problem. Disconnection did not help, run as admin did not help. Somebody tell that I need to change avatar or xbox account - how?

I tried all the suggested solutions above, but unfortunately, none of them worked out for me. I purchased the game from Steam, but now it is stuck at “0% loading language” indefinitely.
Wondering if anyone else has been hitting this issue as well?
