Having ‘your’ product as part of MSFS2024 and as such having an ‘MS’ label, in any reasonable business, wouldn’t be seen only in terms of initial fiscal return. When fixes and or just basic support is needed, your reputation and therefore future sales are closely tied to the perception of your work. Why would anyone invest in Brand A with no support versus Brand B with at least basic maintenance let alone evolution such as the Albatross has received?
On the other hand, MS as a reasonable business, ‘should’ have had a maintenance contract with their supplier, they can’t be expected to have the knowledge or resources at a particular aircraft level to do more than minimal adjustments and their sim product is perception is likewise damaged by broken in sim models.
The eveidence is, the originaters can have their models updated, but clearly they need to lead that effort as MS isn’t making it happen.
In terms of the EC135, it can be flown after a fashion and without assists if you have any skill at helos, is it properly representative, no, a shame, but it does have potential if the above is addressed.

Hopefully we can keep the attention and spark a movement to get some fixes. There are some fundamental issues with the FM that don’t have anything to do with the individual model, like the very weak ETL pitch up and lack of roll on takeoff runs, one plane ground interaction, lack of RBS, etc.
…but the hover attitude should be a simple enough fix. The devs should be able to learn from your input on startup and get those gauges closer to reality.
@KnightofNi312 It should be accessible and flyable for all users with a game controller and the assists on. It quickly falls apart without them though. If you have a more realistic 1:1 control setup, it’s horrid to fly.
It seems to be a struggle for developers to hit this mark with the available tools in MSFS20/24. Where a heli can fly realistically with 1:1 controls, but is still enjoyable with a gamepad and the assists on. The Miltech MH-60 is close, but a bit too easy. The Cowansim S76 and Taog’s 500 are the best in the sim right now. The Cabri is the place to start for realistic heli flight with no additional purchase.

The Taogs H500 does have RBS. If you dive it at high speed at some speed the nose will come up, and the heli will roll to its side. I don’t know how realistically it is implemented, though. Have you tried to get it into RBS?

Yes. The Huey does as well. Taog’s RBS and VRS implementation is custom coded. It’s not part of the native FM. Although Seb has stated all of these effects are in the model, I’ve had limited success demonstrating them consistently even in the Cabri G2. Which is the most complete FM of any heli in MSFS. The other side of that is, I don’t have any real world experience in the G2…

I’m with you. I’m enjoying reading this thread, learning new things about helis, an area of the sim I’ve admittedly avoided until now.
Hopefully some updates soon.
It is. You could also start a bug report in the SU3 section, write a short summary that cites your video(s) in a link form.
It even says so in the report template that pictures, videos and links are welcomed optional contributions.

Yea Xbox users can’t post videos so we have to upload elsewhere to post there and we often get asked for video as well
