On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being best), how do you rate your Overall Enjoyment of this aircraft?
We have copy pasted sounds ,
3D models issues ,
The model looks like a EC130 modified
The textures itself on my side looks like gold
Weird tail rotor animationsā¦
We all know itās free for all 2024 users , but not sure how the āmake goodā aircraft tag is here
PS : a good part of the attached screenshots are from community members
Iāve flown helicopters in flight sims for years and years.
This helicopter feels terrible.
The sounds are just not correct for an EC135, it sounds like its using the default helicopter sounds from the H125?
There is obvious 3D modelling issues, I found loads and loads, not sure I can be bothered to point out every single one, there is too many
The flight model is janky as hell, Iām not even sure whats going on, it feels like it has a very bad implementation of stability assist enabled, it doesnāt fly at all like it should, the tail rotor is way to sensitive, its almost impossible to hover at all
If you compare this to Toagās helicopters or someone like Hype Performance its like night and day.
Iāve never used a Nemeth Design Product before but this helicopter is a terrible advertisement for them and Iāll stay way clear of any payware products they produce in the future.
Really hoping it also gets released on msfs2020 and also gets updated,
Im wondering why did the previous 2024 LL and FF also get released on 2020 but not the EC135 ? Does this mean 2020 will no longer get LL and FF aircraft ?
I was extremely looking forward to this heli as soon as I have seen news, but it was just huge disappointment. Everything has been already said, but just to sum my experience:
3D model is weird, really looks like some adjusted ec130
Interior textures are not that bad, not great, but not terrible
Sound is terrible, fenestron canāt be heard at all⦠I would not even recognise itās supposed to be ec135 if I wouldnāt know
Flight model is ⦠terrific. Honestly, I have never seen worse flight model since FS2004 - and I am not kidding, even Nemethās FSX choppers were miles ahead of this. It has no inertia, has some kind of weird stabilization which it definitely should not have, doesnāt reflects itās weight (ec 135 really isnāt r22). Extremely oversensitive tail rotor, with some weird jiggling near ground. It flies like an unstable drone in gusty wind.
I really wish Nemeth design will fix these issues, because current state of copter is not even pre-alpha.
Besides everything that already was said, I found out, that it is not necessarily the tail rotor/pedals that are to sensitive. I thought that frist too, but than I realized, when you use left cyclic, the heli turns right, as if you would additionally press the pedal. That makes it uncontroillable during slow hover, takeoff and landing. You can just try it out yourself - just sit on ground with zero to 10% collectiv and then use left cyclic and the heli spins rights,a s if you would use full right pedal.
Unfortunately Iām completely awful at flying helicopters, so I probably wonāt fly it much, but as someone who sees an Airbus H145 ambulance fly over my house all the time, this is a cool addition to the sim! I canāt give any good feedback since I canāt control this helicopter very well, or really any other helicopter aside from the R66.
Some generic feedback as I didnāt really take it for a spinn:
On the positive side:
An EC135 is always welcome! Itās one of the most used aircraft in ambulance and rescue missions around the globe besides the 145.
Cockpit has fully modeled and animated switches and breakers, which is great to see even if many are for now inop.
Itās the first additional aircraft thatās usable in missions
Real world ADAC livery
Quite a few nice generic liveries and multiple cabin variants
Points ready for improvement:
The cabin is too wide and because of that resembles more an EC130 than an EC135 T1
Sounds are aliased to the H.125 which you can hear. A second turbine sound is basically missing
Strobe light effects are not in sync with the strobe light emissive texture
Aircraft feels rushed also when it comes down to external click spots. The one at the refueling port has no text, another one refers to the oil quantity without any clear visual indication and doors donāt open on entering
Seat textures are a bit low resolution
Neutral:
A H.135 (so an EC135 T3) would have been lovely as the T1 is a bit aged
Emissive draw distance for navigation lights and strobes is quite low
in general good texture quality besides the seats- not Carenadoor iniBuilds level but otherwise solid
More doors to open would be nice, especially the slide doors on the sides of the aircraft
Absolutely horrible. The flight characteristic is weird, keeps jittering and canāt see to hold at a stable altitude. Totally agree with all the comments above. You can see the same in the trailer too. The helicopter flies weird. Absolutely a waste of a āmake goodā aircraft. This was a rush job.
Yes, we all know the launch of MSFS 2024 was a disaster ā thatās been discussed to death already. But reading through the feedback on the new Eurocopter EC135, for me this is where it really crosses the line.
I see this happening far too often: content gets pushed out that simply isnāt ready. Another rush job. And I donāt care if itās a different team, not directly Asobo or Microsoft ā the principle is the same: stop releasing half-baked aircraft.
This is a flagship sim with a huge community behind it. Deliver quality. Iām not even talking about study-level depth, failures, or ultra-complex systems. Just the basics: make sure the product is complete, functional, and has gone through proper quality control before release.
Every time unfinished content gets shoved out the door, it damages the sim more than it ads to it.
Meanwhile, established third-party developers consistently show what good, polished products can look like, which only makes the contrast sharper.
I do see and appreciate the effort being made to improve the core sim with updates. But when unfinished aircraft keep getting thrown into the mix, it undermines that progress. Donāt keep adding debris to the pond when the water still isnāt clear.
Having flown a lot of helicopters in DCS in the past, this was⦠horrible to fly.
The 3D modelling on all default aircraft is (generally) so nice, itās just so sad that many of them donāt fly well, or sound good.
Back to my third party safe haven. And if I want helicopters, I think Iāll stick to DCS (there are likely some good ones in MSFS but havenāt sought them out).
The irony that a make-good vehicle for a problematic early sim release is in itself problematic just feels appropriate for the times.
Iām a fixed-wing kinda guy, so Iām not personally too upset, but a quick test flight here definitely backs up the flight model concerns and this definitely isnāt going to convert me to rotors. A little disappointing as I thought it might be fun to simulate some Hawaii Life Flight ops.
