For those experiencing the stutter every 3-5 seconds, I just created a bug report on this. Please head over there and vote the issue/report your feedback.

Thanks. Toning down the sound of a Rolls Royce dart should be a crime lol

Yeah a few people have asked them to fix it. I’m seeing it I can figure out a way to get AFG‘s sounds in from over 20 years ago (2002) but not sure.

Update: AFG’s sounds work but the idle kicks in too early and I’d need to see if I can get more of the bass rumble at high power.

Old video from 2004 demonstrating what the sounds SHOULD be: https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/YMltJCnWLno

I see theres alot of interest in propliners, allthough this is very old,we need something like the dash8.

A little bug: The stairs make a sound as it goes up/down if you are inside the plane, but in external view, it doesn’t make a sound. Same thing for the doors.

Will it load and fly a Simbrief Flight Plan?

I think I read somewhere it does. It loads my FP from the EFB so no reason not to have a simbrief one. Not sure if it will load the SID and Star though

I’ve not tried this option to check its functionality, so I don’t know for sure if it works. The Ini EFB does have a field to enter simbrief user ID, and Simbrief Import option in the EFB (see #5 in image from page 7 of the aircraft manual).

There is also nothing to stop you using the simbrief exporter to export to a .PLN file then importing that .PLN file into the MSFS2024 EFB then sending that to avionics and ATC.

Folks, there are a number of posts discussing other aircraft. Whilst interesting, they are not appropriate to this discussion! Please keep your topics focused on the NAMC YS-11, no matter how much you may love other turboprops :heart_with_arrow:

Thank you!

Another bug: If I have doors and or stairs open and go outside in “walk mode” (Shift-C), some (not all) of the doors and the stairs close with strange animations. So I can’t walk around the plane with the front doors or stairs open.

It doesn’t have its own avionics/FMS like a modern airliner so it’s up to whether or not the Garmin unit you use with it can connect directly to SimBrief. If you use the default GNS430 from Working Title and the SimBrief EFB app then the “Import Route” function from SimBrief will send your route to both the EFB Flight Planner app and the GNS430 system.

Would love to see a freighter variant as well, since many operators flew it IRL

I am enjoying the plane allot. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but in my opinion, it’s a good representation of an classic airliner for the price point. I wish the 707 would have come out as good as this one. :sob:

There is one thing that is in my opinion the biggest problem with this plane. When you switch from outside view to interior, the LOD takes an extremely long time to load the proper inside LOD. I’ve seen streamers suffer from it too, it took a very long time in this one: https://www.youtube.com/live/dWRoNMz_00c?si=wVsbs3gGwxwnM-K-&t=1838

I’ve seen this happen to me on other planes, like the PMDG 777s but it only takes that plane a second or two for the inside LOD to appear.

Does that turn coordinator also not have the marks for standard rate? Interesting

Not unprecedented I guess: RC Allen 20B380-4 Turn & Bank Indicator Beech 101-380032-3 | eBay

Check under Settings - Graphics - Character Quantity. If it’s off, you won’t see passengers, only co-pilot. If you set it to Ultra, it will fill all the seats (or almost all) you set in the tablet. Use a setting depending on your system.

I noticed this too. Maybe it’s because I’ve been spoiled with the FS2024 Fenix BFU, but I so wanted to walk up/down those stairs too.

After playing around with the simbrief option in the Ini EFB, It doesn’t seem to do much other than allowing me to view the text simbrief flightplan. There appears to be no functionality to import the flightplan into the avionics from there.

I also tried the MSFS2024 EFB to do the same via a .PLN file import, but this doesn’t seem to work when I am in the aircraft. I find I have to import that .PLN file (from simbrief export) into the MSFS2024 EFB before starting a flight while still on the world map, then do a “SEND TO ATC+AVIONICS” and it then shows up in the aircraft avionics as well as on the Ini EFB map and is usable via default ATC then too.

Watching streamer videos, the lod re-loading issue seems a big issue and i wont be buying it until an update has been issued fixing the bug.

LOD’s are certainly distracting. The main front center panels in the cockpit reload if you go to external view then back in to cockpit view. But then again LOD’s in FS2024 are generally all very distracting certainly around the gates. In walk around mode or external cam mode the pushback tug flips from nice detail to no detail in a very short distance, liveries disappear in external camera mode. Whoever thought that these extreme LOD’s were a good idea needs to question that assertion.
