That was bizar! For me it takes sometimes 1-2 seconds. Never more, and certainly not always
Yes about 2-3 seconds delay for me. Only takes a long time on first stream in. I’m in the middle of downloading the aircraft locally to see what difference it makes if any.
EDIT: My cockpit panel LOD load down to < 2sec load after locally installing aircraft. Tolerable.
How many of us are aware that there is a pilot in Germany who has this in his Career mode as a Passive earner? He bought it about an hour into the release but the next day it was gone as a useable passenger craft and only shows as a passive one now earning credits.
Do we then assume it is viable for Career mode and we are just identifying faults before the release of PS5 thereby averting a swamp load of critisism from the PS5 customers? I hope it becomes available to all for use in Career mode.
Which avionics are you using? And are you familiar with the SimBrief EFB app?
I’m using the GTN650 that comes with the ys-11.
I do have the simbrief plugin for the default fs2024 EFB and I do use it, haven’t tried it with this aircraft. Does it have a send to avionics/atc option? I’ve only ever used it as a simbrief file exporter tool and performance calc tool. Usually I’m flying bigger airliners with FMCs that pull in the simbrief plan.
There are two 650s that are compatible with the YS-11, both of which are third party, and their functionality varies, especially if you’re using the free version of the PMS50 GTN650.
The SimBrief EFB app has an “Import Route” button which will send the route to any 2024-native avionics that are compatible with that feature. (all 2024-native default aircraft, for example)
The switches directly above them are to engage the alternators (afaik) - and yours are currently off. For whatever reason, that step is not included in any of the provided checklists.
Oh, I got it, I had to flip the big switches to Start! What is the difference between CF power and WF power?
Thank you I will go look for that, I haven’t used that before as I usually don’t fly default aircraft. OR when I do I always use the .PLN export / import feature in the default EFB.
I’ll also take a look to see which GTN I’m using. Does the PMS50 GTN650 come embedded with the GTN750 unit? I haven’t been aware of installing anything else. It is the free version of the GTN750 I have installed.
Constant Frequency Inverter - Supply AC power from a DC source.
Wild Frequency Alternator - probably from engines to charge batteries?
According to the manual, which for some strange reason isn’t text seachable.
Something entirely different: I mapped the HPC levers to my Saitek yoke using Mobiflight with the following event definitions. Might be useful for someone else using Mobiflight or other tools to control your hardware. Basically, you can just set the LVAR Position_HPC_1 to whatever you need, even map it to an axis):
YS11_HPC1_INC#(L:Position_HPC_1) 1 < if{ 32 (>L:Position_HPC_1) } els{ (L:Position_HPC_1) 35 < if{ 64 (>L:Position_HPC_1) } els{ 100 (>L:Position_HPC_1) } }
YS11_HPC1_DEC#(L:Position_HPC_1) 90 > if{ 64 (>L:Position_HPC_1) } els{ (L:Position_HPC_1) 60 > if{ 32 (>L:Position_HPC_1) } els{ 0 (>L:Position_HPC_1) } }
YS11_HPC2_INC#(L:Position_HPC_2) 1 < if{ 32 (>L:Position_HPC_2) } els{ (L:Position_HPC_2) 35 < if{ 64 (>L:Position_HPC_2) } els{ 100 (>L:Position_HPC_2) } }
YS11_HPC2_DEC#(L:Position_HPC_2) 90 > if{ 64 (>L:Position_HPC_2) } els{ (L:Position_HPC_2) 60 > if{ 32 (>L:Position_HPC_2) } els{ 0 (>L:Position_HPC_2) } }
So for CF would you use that with the GPU and the WF with the engines?
…because each page is an image and not text.
Just do internet search for “Constant Frequency Inverter Power Aircraft” and “Wild Frequency Alternator Power Aircraft” you will find your answers there.
Thanks I should have looked myself

I have noticed comments in Avsim that this plane was in FSX previously, back in 2006 I think they said.
This YS11 is much better then the FS9/FSX version Free and Aerosim. There’s way way too many differences and details. I dont even even go near the avsim arm chair association, it’s like the Xplane Zoo lol.
The PMS50 include both the 750 and 650 but the free version is not compatible with the Send to Avionics feature. If you use the default included avionics (the Working Title 430) then you can send the route or changes to the route directly to the avionics during the flight.
Hmmm, I wonder if this is why my avionics kept resetting when I was trying to cruise at very low speeds during last week’s Community Fly-In. I’ve been unable to replicate that issue in “normal” flights where I’m targeting +200kts/14,200rpm at cruise.
