Lock Mode on the flightdeck does not show numerical values in mouse-window pop up

The font size on the PFD in planes like the TBM are small and I dont want to keep zooming in.

I then recalled the Lock Mode where the control knob is highlighted and the actual value is shown in big font in the pop up window.

…or so I thought.

  • As you can see from my screenshot the actual value selected in the VS is not showing in the pop up window.
  • It should in this example show -1250 ft/min as shown on the PFD.

This is the case with all other controls like HDG, CRS, SPD etc.

Would someone mind checking this for me in their game? Do the values appear for you?

Could someone help me fix this? The whole point of this was to make the numerical value more easily read.

Thanks for any tips.

At the beginning the values were shown on the knobs… like heading, speed etc… but they were chopped in one of the SU’s I think after 5. I miss them too.

Oh gosh, so its not a bug or something I’ve messed up. MiSobo removed it.

What an utterly bizarre decision, it makes the entire “lock” feature almost pointless. Smh.

Anyway thanks for the reply, at least I know now! Back to power zooms into the PFD

We lost the ability to actually read the instruments when mfs went to photo realistic panels in the early '90s. Before that I had a 12" 16 color monitor and I could read every number on every cartoon instrument panel. Now we have to zoom in and out constantly. But they sure are pretty!

They do look great and very much like their real life counterparts! Its just on a monitor I have to squint if I dont zoom in - specially on the Citation Longitude.

I remember those cartoon panels! I used to tweak them in GIMP or even MS Paint. Adding drop shadows and such. I spent days on a Q400 panel. Good times! Then came virtual cockpits and that was the end of all that.

Looks like the only way around this is a mod, will keep checking for one. What a strange decision on MiSobo’s part to remove the numerical value from the mouse popup.
