Its not working for me but maybe it helps you Guys?
Doesn’t work for me either on quest 2..
I mean it “works” its locked at 18 HZ but its still Juddery.
I tried it on the original rift. Seemed to offer some promise. Lots of settings to fool around with.
You got rid of the annoying Cockpit-Judders?
Rift s or quest 2?
I tried it on original rift - cv1. I cant say that cockpit judders are a noticeable problem. I have a medium speed computer and a GTX1070 graphics card. I should also note one important thing. I replaced my internal dvd drive with a sata ssd and moved msfs to the ssd drive. It made a lot of difference
Quest 2. Im going to try it with the CV1 later.
what a s**** is there any chance to force the quest 2 to accept the 18 hz reprojection over link?
I downloaded the earlier version of the software which only had the 45 HZ option. When I updated it the 18 hz option was there. I also disbled full screen optimizations in windows which may have helped with the studders
These settings are poorly named, 45hz is 1/2, 30hz is really 1/3 of refresh rate and 18 hz is 1/5 of refresh rate.
If you’re running oculus link you can set the refresh rate to 72hz and force “30hz” which is actually 24 fps, which might help.
Maybe 18hz which would really be 12hz is too low somehow?
How do you set and force 2 different figures?
What do you mean, I’m talking about the options in oculus tray tool
Set the Default ASW Mode to Off for even better performance.
Worked well for me, no stutters and setttings mostly medium or high. Struggled with bad weather turned on in London ie rain etc, but clear day over London with added Orbx scenery ran completely smoothly. Have an 8700K and 2700 Gpu card.
Hi! i usually see lots of microstutters with 30hz or 18hz…i have 8700k OC to 4.8 and 1080…not smooth at all for me ![]()
It’s great if it “work” for you and you accept such never seen degradation in VR performance for an app.
This sim is the greatest on monitor no doubt, but I give up for now in VR until they work more on it, I have other VR flysims alternative with perfect performance at the native Hz and resolution of my headset, and max settings.
For MSFS to have a “fluid” VR experience I have to go down to 30Hz or even 18Hz and render scale at the size of a stamp on an Oculus CV1 which is the lowest headset resolution, and using all settings in the sim at low or off? Mmmm, I pass…
But I’m’ glad for you if you’re satisfied, sincerely.
My problem isn’t FPS. Its this micro judder you can clearly see especially when passing by buildings at low altitudes looking left or right.
