Same problem. A lot of flights with Landint but not Takeoff with CRJ and A320 FBW. Original Censa 172 recorded 3 takeoffs and 1 landing for example.
This gets even more interesting when it comes to helicopters. If you are flying a MedEvac to a hospital or other helipad it is not recognized as even being a flight. No take-off, no landing, just flight time. Touch and Goâs are just ignored if you are not at a controlled airport requesting T/G. If you air taxi too high the ATC will scream at you that âyou are not cleared for takeoffâ, but the logbook donât care. Funny part is, it worked in FSX, FS9, and long before that. If you take off and exceed say 25 feet, it is a take-off. If you land without crashing, it is a landing. How hard would that be to code? Currently, the logbook is a JOKE !
I ignore ATC on a regular basis. My favorite is, âYou were not cleared to land. Clear the runwayâ when I land with favorable wind. Half the time (or more) I get cleared to land with a tailwind.
My logbook is peppered with no landings and/or no takeoffs. And I also get KABC [Vicinity] at certain airports, but only when landing.
I went to P2A and they do a decent job, though I fly mostly VFR presently and they are most cooperative.
Iâve only been using MSFS 2020 Premium Deluxe since mid June and I have the same issue, Logbook only records flight time and landings but not take-offs, and it does it at all airports, regardless of whether theyâre controlled or not.
The logbook is tied to the objective system. The game wants you to enter the runway at a specific location and to announce your take off. Whenever I use an uncontrolled airport I tend to keep the objectives window open to make sure that I fulfil all requirements.
