Has anyone else experienced their Logitech flight panels working intermittently? Seems to have occurred after the summer updates as don’t remember issues prior to…I perform the checkout tests on each and all good - but just don’t connect to the simulator as they use to- any help would be appreciated! Thanks

I’ve had mine “lock up” while being used… but I attribute that to spinning the dial too fast and things get confused. Sometimes after a minute or two it’s back online, but other times I have to exit and reboot my PC. Likely a USB concern in my case.

[Edit: No funky software in my case (SPAD, FSUIPC, or anything like that), just the Logitech driver.]
PC Version
If you are using any addons or controller software (such as FSUIPC), please state that so someone can offer an informed solution.
If you are running without any 3rd party controller software:
- Through Windows applications, uninstall any and all Logiech software related to the panels
- Unplug all your Logitech panels
- Download only the driver for MSFS functionality from their website at most - none of their programming software.
- restart your system
- plug in your panels
The Logitech programming software causes problems with MSFS. MSFS identifies and maps most of the functions natively. Typically, you will sacrifice the ability to custom assign buttons without the software, but the panels have worked for me without issue after removing the Logitech software.
Most of my problems before SU6 were caused by the Garmin NXi add-on. After SU6, there is an intermittent problem of it not working as if the sim does not recognize it. I often have to unplug the panel from my PC and plug it back in to get it to work. Sometimes unplugging it from my PC causes the sim to freeze causing me to shut down the sim and restart it.
Thank you kindly
The plugins for the flight panels have been a big cause of CTD for me, and many others it seems. Someone here said the panels are more stable when plugged into USB 2.0 ports, and that seems to have been my experience.
The annoying issue I have with them is when I close the sim there is always a plugin that keeps on running after the close down and I can’t restart the sim again until I’ve gone into the task manager located the still running plugin and close it down. Only then can I boot the sim.
I’ve had mine freeze in the past, two issues. 1 was using USB 3.0. The other was the power draw on the multi panel. Requires quite a bit of juice and with everything else plugged in seems there were issues.
Got an externally powered USB hub and issues went away.
Others have reported fixing the issue by switching to spad over the default drivers but it comes with a price.
No problems here except when MSFS causes a CTD (not strange with recent SU5 and 6) the Logitech plugin keeps running and has to be stopped in task manager before a relaunch. If not deleted, at MSFS start appears the message “another instance is running” and then panels don’t work.
Logitech plugin is launched simultaneously with MSFS using the “exe” file located in MSFS main folder (inside the Localcache folder).
This is my content inside exe:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?><SimBase.Document Type=“SimConnect” version=“1,0”>
SimConnect
SimConnect.xml
False
<Launch.Addon>
Logitech Microsoft Flight Simulator Plugin
False
C:\Program Files\Logitech\Microsoft Flight Simulator Plugin\LogiMicrosoftFlightSimulator.exe
-r
</Launch.Addon>
</SimBase.Document>
Mine are working fine, using SPAD to control them.
The only issue I have with them, and my Yoke etc. is that if I put my computer to sleep, when I wake it, none of those devices work correctly. They are all connected to an external powered hub, with individual power switches, and I have to power cycle them one by one. The simplest way is to reboot the computer.
This only occurred after I upgraded my motherboard/CPU/memory. It’s not a huge issue to reboot as the system boots in seconds off NVMe.
Well after some further research I have realized this issue of panels not working is only with planes such as the C172 Skyhawk with the Garmin nxi to ur point as I do have it installed from the marketplace !
