Logitech Radio and Switch Panels not working. what am I missing?

Hello,

I just got the Radio, Switch, and Multi panels from Logitech. I’ve installed the latest drivers.

But when I launch MSFS, nothing works.

I tested to see if they are recognized and working in windows and they are working.

But when I go into MSFS, nothing works.

So what am I missing?

Dont have these panels but the MPanel I use needs FSUIPC7. Coild this be your problem?

When you say drivers, do you really mean the plugin for MSFS? There is no driver needed.
The latest version is at https://download01.logi.com/web/ftp/pub/techsupport/simulation/MSFS_Plugin_x64_Software_8.0.313.0.exe

Yeah you need the plugin for msfs20. You also have the choice if spadnext. Paid program but worth it In my opinion. You can configure you panels for your needs

Yes, I meant the plug-in. But still didn’t work. I resolved the issue by just getting spadnx. Works really well now.

Yep, got spadnext and now works really well.

How do you remove the pulgin if you want to use Spad.next? I can’t find a way to remove the plugin and keep getting a warning in spad about it conflicting.

Go to Local Disk ©: Program Files/ Logitech. Then delete Microsoft Flight Simulator Plugin folder.

I found that and did it. Gave Spad next a go and it seemed like more problems than it was worth with the Just Flight Arrow III. Reverted back to the Logitech drivers (which are still somewhat messed up with the Arrow).

I have the logitech radio panels and you don’t need the spad.next.
The radio will light up when the battery and avionics are turned on (for general aviation aircrafts).
For a320 and Boeing aircrafts , won’t work from cold and dark , only if you start on the runway but I found a solution for that too.
I assigned “Avionics On” to a key on my keyboard.
After turning on the battery 1 and 2 and connect the external power I press the assigned key on my keyboard to "turn on " the avionics manualy and Ta Da

I use Multi Panel, Radio Panel and 4 FIP’s on msfs2020 with SPAD.NeXt, and works perfect.
Precisely speaking, for Radio Panel and Switch Panel only, you don’t need SPAD.NeXt,
but you do need SPAD.NeXt for Multi Panel, because Multi Panel fundamentaly has problem with Win10 USB power management, which Logitek seems gave up supporitng it, thus you have to solve on your own with Registry Editor…

I highly recommend SPAD.NeXt, because it is far more supportive than Saitek/Logicool. (Logicool is just selling the Saitek legacy products.)

This is all so confusing for me…I have just installed the plugin for the radio panel, not working. Uninstalled it, re-installed it…tried running it says “already an instance of the plugin running” don’t know how because I only just reinstalled it and didn’t open it…even on task manager its not running there. Does it really need to be this difficult for ‘plug and play’ hardware? Is what I pay good money for? I’m not a software or computer expert and honestly most of the language I read in forums regarding fixing this I just don’t understand. I have tried it from cold with a C172, on the runway with a Boeing and it JUST DOESN’T WORK!

I shouldn’t have to pay for third party stuff…I don’t even understand what the heck SPAD is supposed to be…

Once you install it, make sure you run the application before starting msfs.

In needs to be opened and running for it to work.

At first i thought all i needed to do was install the plug in, but it turns out you need to open the plug in every time you going to use msfs.

Hope this helps

Yeah I had done all that. Was a very frustrating experience. I got it working in the end, it seemed to have a ‘phantom’ plugin running somewhere, so once I found and deleted that it worked. Took a while. Thanks.

And back to not working again…I’m just going to send it back I think.

Yeah, to be honest, I stopped using it and just started flying offline with no atc. I’ll wait until it gets sorted out later down the road. Right now it’s a bit too buggy.

If you can return it and get another one with no hassles then go for it and hopefully that gets it resolved. But I think it’s just the logitech software that is not well optimized.

I am inclined to agree with you. I just got it going again for the C172. So I exited that and loaded an IFR flight plan for the King Air…not working again. The company I bought it form and said to return it so they can look at it but honestly talking to their service department they were like “we don’t sell equipment like that, I don’t even understand what you use it for…” so I’m not sure what them looking at it will achieve. Its the plugin which is the problem. Even after restarting and I try to open it keeps telling me its already running but I have no idea where because it doesn’t show up in the task manager as either a running program or background process. Still haven’t been for a flight and now I’m way past wanting to…very very frustrating and surprising that Logitech can’t fix it given they surely would know there are problems with it!

The problem could be related to the usb port you are using. If I plug my panels into a usb socket on the PC they don’t work. If I plug them into my Logitech yoke, which is powered, they do. I believe it is a usb power problem. My panels work fine plugged into the yoke. HTH

Interesting. I did change the USB to a 3.0 on the PC. I use the honeycomb yoke so not sure if I can plug it direct into there or not. Its strange because I have been playing with it a little today and it works fine on the C172, the TBM 930, and the CJ4. And doesn’t work for the DA62, DA40, or Beechcraft King Air. I have to test more planes to see if it works or not. I went into power settings and cranked it up to 100% for the PC.

My yoke does not work plugged into a USB 3.0 port.
