Logitech Wingman Extreme 3D

I got a Logitech Wingman Extreme 3D for about 10 or 12 years now, it works perfectly fine on any other Sim. FS2020 recognizes my Joystick but i can’t map anything to the buttons.
I can see the axis movement on sensitivity tab tho…
any suggestions on how to fix this?

thx

I also have and love this joystick, only I can’t even see the joystick in settings sadly. Only my Playstation controller. I’m running through Steam, if that may make any difference. I’m very eager to get this working because like you say, all the other flight sims like it just fine.

Did you do anything special to get yours to show in the menu, at all?

I got mine to work. No nothing special, i just plugged it in. Try to remove your Controller, or reinstall the driver…

Are you able to configurate it manually? I had to assign everything manually for my Thrustmaster HOTAS-setup.
You must select something else than “Assigned” under filter as you have nothing assigned… I.e. select “All”

Then you must assign everything manually…

Quite counter-intuitive and also quite dissapointing that I even had to manually add the main axis-setup. They could at least had setup the X- and Y-axis by default.

Hi Everyone, I’ve figured it out.

Since I’m using Steam to launch the game, Steam acts as a sort of ‘keeper of the keys’ for controllers. If you go Steam->Settings and find Controllers on the left, then it opens up Steam in ‘Big Picture mode’ designed for TVs… (very annoying). You should see the joystick listed. The reason Flight Sim 2020 wasn’t seeing it was because although Steam sees the controller, there is no ‘configuration’ assigned. So in Steam click on the controller, assign some mappings, and click to save and exit making sure to choose ‘generic controller’ from the choices. Now it has added that configuration to that controller, it shows up in Flight Sim 2020.

Hi, Same issue but using MSFS through game pass

i have the same issue should a change my wingman ??

Is there a config file of any sort that can be shared if you’ve already mapped it?

Hi Everyone,
I just finished building a new PC just for this Sim. This time, when I installed Flight Sim 2020 it worked right out of the box. Wondering if Asobo made a change so it now works. Either way, I haven’t had to play with Steam settings or anything this time - just worked.

Problem is you have to do EVERY CONTROL yourself in the settings, and assign everything to everything. Every button, every axis, even the POV hat to look around. You have to configure dead zones, sensitivities… I’ve been on it for a few hours and every now and then I go back in to make another tweak. I guess in the end I can share my config file although at the moment have no idea how to do that…

Hi folks - similar issue with my logitech extreme. First few weeks of the game - all recognised no problems at all - worked like a dream. Then for no reason I can decipher the actual joystick is unresponsive in game. Within control options it’s still there, I can test sensitivity all fine. In game though, no response from the stick but all the buttons respond fine. I’ve reset to defaults. Still no joy. Any ideas gratefully received. Rich
