Logitech X52 Pro or X56? What’s best for MSFS2020?

Hi, I’ve been using the Logitech 3D Extreme, which although I like, not having a separate throttle is bugging me. I’m looking at getting either the Logitech X52 Pro or the X56, but cannot decide what is best for this game.

Any feedback or suggestions welcome.

Thanks

I use the X52 Pro and it’s a very good option, but I had to modify the throttle to remove the detents from it as it didn’t allow smooth operation along 100% of the axis.

I’ve had mine a few years and the potentiometer in the throttle axis is starting to get very noisy, which requires maintenance to correct it. (It has to be cleaned.)

Considering how long I’ve had it, I’d say it’s a good option.

I don’t know anything about the X56.

I use the X52. Good all round solid HOTAS, one of my keys has started having bounceback issues which is annoying but. FS2020 picks it up instantly has plenty of buttons to do the job throttle feels good, twist is acceptable for rudder with some tweaking, feels good in the hand (giggidy).

Dont know what it retails for currently but id say its a solid option

Both are good options.

I bought X56 prior to MSFS release and give away an old X52 to my son who is also using it now for it’s own MSFS and X-Plane flights. I do like design and button’s layout of X56 a bit more but it’s very subjective and as I said, both are pretty good for simming.

I could probably stick with an old one if not that my son had discovered a similar passion for a flight simming and was very persistent in persuading me to go and buy a new stick (…so he could get an X52) :)))

Thanks guys. I think I’ll go for the X52 Pro then.

I have the 56, it was recognised well by FS and was setup more or less identically to XPs configuration. But my biggest reason for going X56 was because somebody selling on Ebay makes an excellent 400mm extension for the JS and this is great for a helicopter cyclic.

I personally use an X-55. It rocks XD

I use the x56 throttle only (warthog stick) brilliant for P3d and msfs, loads of buttons toggles and axis to programme :+1:

I’ve just got thrustmaster t16000m with throttle, fantastic bit of kit.
Not what you asked, but thought it was a good option for the price range.

:ok_hand:That’s a good bit of kit
