Hi all, I’m thinking about updating to windows 11. Will my X56 still work? Any experiences?
I have upgraded to windows 11 and I have had no issues with my x56 setup.
Can confirm, no problems.
I have had nothing but trouble with the x56’s. Run me straight into the ground without control. Don’t know what to do. Or do I need to order new Thrustmaster Hotas, which I used until they need fixed.. I don’t think I could use an xbox controller. Any help or assistance would be appreciated!
Will someone point me to the right posts to get my Logitech x56’s to work? I tried binding some things and got to reading on here, and reading the instructions , as well as I would have to do around 50 bindings. That just don’t seem right so I am putting this on here for comment. Sometimes I find answers to my questions here. I thought I found a small text file sometime but the site prevents me from reviewing it, as well as some other things, that I found interestng and decided to come back to it promptly. But guess what? The system prevents me giving me that error code.“You’ve tried looking for that too many times!” And would have me looking at something else, rather than that.
Thank you very much sir! That looks like the file I observed earlier…
You’re very welcome.
So this means that I must enter approximately 50 keybinds To make these works? Sounds like a lot of unneeded work to me. I’m wandering why the x56 is even recommended for this simulator.
You really should not have to change much from the default X56 profile in MSFS 2024 or make any changes with the X56 config software. I’ve been using the X56 for several years and the only changes I’ve made are a few personal additions and a couple of tweaks so it doesn’t conflict with my Turtle Beach Velocity One. These changes were very straightforward in the sim.
If you’re using any other controllers at the same time there may be an overlap of bindings that are problematic.
Wel I have a lot to do! My first thing is getting control without Using those miniature sticks. I can’t, on earth, explain why you would use miniature controls instead of full size ones. Shoiuld I return my x56 h.o.t.a.s. to see if two controlers are setup differently or have the same problem? And is it a problem for anyone but me to begin with, please? I have read the text about others not even having to calibrate their h.o.t.a.s.?!
Yes, the thumb pickle button/stick (B) was very hard to get a feel for so I essentially disabled it. For planes such as the F/A-18 I do use all the other X56 controls along with a Turtle Beach Velocity One quadrant module (I only use the V1 yoke for for GA and tubeliner planes).
I don’t think another one will work differently.
Perhaps you should just reset everything and start again?
Thankyou so much for the diagram. It gives me somewhere to start. I think I can transfer that to Msfs now. I hope.
