Anyone get the Logitech X56 RGB (the black with gray lettering one) working in MSFS2020 yet? I just bought it. I thought I had it calibrated right through joystick.cpl and also in the sim. I take off and the a/c is immediately uncontrollable, like I have no elevator and crash not to desktop.
Have same, worked perfectly for me out of the box.
Maybe you have the trim dialled to the max? Something I do all the time.
I dont think so. It’s a total mess. If I begin a left turn, the rate of bank increases to 180 degrees, if I steer back right, there is quite a delay before it starts turning back right, then it keeps doing this, 180 degree turns left and right. And during all of this, the same thing occurs with the pitch. This joystick is unusable at this time. It does work fine in DCS, but I think it now crashes XP11. My last HOTAS4 worked fine in all three, and also ED.
This sounds like an axis assignment problem. You have three options for ailerons; Aileron Left (Roll Left), Aileron Right (Roll Right) and Ailerons Axis. Elevators have similar options. You want to use the Ailerons Axis and Elevator Axis mappings. Same with the throttle options, use the axis mappings.
This sounds like your input axes are actually mapped as buttons/keys and not axes.
Check aileron and elevator. Bind to AXIS options. (In LEFT column - binding axes to the right hand column can have undesirable results.)
I just bought this stick a couple of weeks ago, and it worked out of box for me, didnt touch the settings in the logitech app, just in MSFS. After resetting everything is seems to be good, stick feels a little cheap for a $250 stick, but its defiantly accurate.
I paid almost $500. Guess I got ripped off.
Have you actually checked your axis assignments like two of us have suggested? I seriously doubt it’s the stick that’s that cause of your issue.
Awww, you bought yours online eh? bummer I was telling the dude at the computer store “maybe I should buy all three of these I understand you can get upwards of $500 US for them” he didnt believe me…
So the computer store is called Micro Center based out of Ohio they generally have 2 to 3 a week come in and they’re only 249.99 + tax about $20 bucks. They have a bunch of the other one that people are buying too. If its not to late to return yours you might want to check it out, by then maybe we’ll have a sim to use with the new stick! ROFL!!!
Ha, that sucks. I live in Michigan and could have drove down there.
Not yet, I’ve been working out DCS keybindings recently. I’ll take a look at it tonight.
No you couldnt we dont want your Liberal Michigan types here in OHIO LOL and buying OUR joysitcks… NO WAY!!! Bwhahahhahhha
LMAO, it’s ok bro, my whole family is from Ohio. My cousins always say the same stuff when I go down there.
(And I am not that word you said, ha)
Where abouts in Ohio… I started out Euclid → Chardon → Youngstown (yeah I know eww youngstowne right).
Celina and Kettering. But now Marion.
Used to know a repo man in Kettering … stay away from my car dude lol …
Jesus you could have got Virpil or VKB for that.
I did not own that specific model but did have the X55 and X56 (blue/black) that worked fine. I opted to not use the software and instead used the Windows driver to avoid issues, complication, and make setup simple.
Yup, you paid around double for that X56 RGB HOTAS! Always check MSRP ($249.99) and “real” retail proce before you fall for the scalper scam bs. Hell, return it for a refund if you must. Grabbed a Thrustmaster Warthog new from an honest online international retailer recently for $598 (USD) with international shipping, taxes, etc for comparison.
I prefer using HOTAS setups for DCS and a Xbox controller or yoke for MSFS though.
I bought that common yoke and throttle I think by Logitech. It has a PS2 port, so now im waiting for an adapter and hopefully that works, but Im not counting on it. Im so sick of waiting for stuff to come in the mail, I think I’ll just stick with this X56, since I already also bought a wheel base stand for it.
Ok, I checked it. I tried all kinds of sensitivity combinations. Same result. Delayed control input followed by too much control input. It yoyos worse and worse until it stalls/crashes. Hopefully my new yoke will work better. But if not, I have my old Hotas4 that is pretty solid. It works perfect in DCS and XP11.
