Logitech x56 - significant throttle issues?

Hi all,

So I was looking for a good Hotas and last week the x56 was in stock so I bought it as there’s nothing else available.

I set it up and although I’m still getting used to it I noticed that the throttle, although it looks cool and robust, will gradually increase without any input from me, because of its own weight.

I usually fly the 320 neo and it can go to to/ga out of the blue mid cruise. I adjusted the resistance but it’s still happening.

Apart from the disappointment and that they should get the basics right, as it’s not a cheap option, it’s also annoying as you cannot even fly properly whilst using it - just the opposite - so I’m considering using keyboard for thrust again…

Anyone had a similar issue / suggestions?

Thanks everyone

Same here. I lock the two throttles when i can. That holds it in place.

Try the trottle tension adjuster on page 4

Have you tried the throttle tensioner?

Thanks all - yes I have tried the adjuster. It improved it a bit but it still does it.

Placing the top of the throttle on a thin-ish book works but it’s not a permanent solution

If you bought this new, I’d send it back. That should be a quality bit of kit.

If it is too heavy, pull the trottle back and forth a few times

Although it’s heavy when I push forward, it will start moving slowly when I leave it on CL towards the front.

It’s quite interesting that although resistance is high it still moves when it passes its centre of gravity. Having said that, it doesn’t just drop all e way forward but even a few mm are enough to go from CL to flex or to/ga if I don’t notice it

Hi, I have just bought the X56 and also was suffering from the throttle moving out of the detents on the A320. After much tweaking, I have now resolved this by changing the sensitivity and neutral settings. Works perfectly now for A320. You will however need to create a second profile with “normal” settings if you fly other planes. I’ll post my settings later as not at pc right now.

Hi would you mind posting images of the sensitivity curves? I’m having the same issues as OP. Thank you.
