Long loading screen due to community folder scan

Since I changed the drive where my community folder is located from NVM to normal harddisk, I am experiencing long loading times.

I was checking which files are being read and I noticed, that MSFS is going through the complete community folder (which is HUUUGEEE!). It also reads a lot of files which are irrelevant (aircraft that I am not using).

It would be nice, if Asobo would do this in a background task and store the information in some sort of TOC (table of content). That way, the loading time could be cut in half at least.

This is the reason why so manny of us are using Addons Linker. A simple tool that’s easly to use and allows you to pick the relevant planes and environment mods that are relevant for the flying you intend to. This is the best way to cut down on the sim laoding time, and if needed to figure out what may be causing problems for the sim.

Something like addon linker can be used as suggested by the previous poster, however it is probably best if possible to find a solution without using third party apps as nothing free comes without any strings attached. Some of it relates to privacy, system instability, Coin mining in the background, various security issues etc.
I have created a folder called bak-community and only cut and paste to my community folder what I need at the time, this results in faster load times and less fs related issues as I am able to identify quickly any conflicting addons.
Please note this only applies to free downloaded mods from websites.
