Longitude - GSX - Beyond ATC Parking Question

Hi All, I am hopeful for a little direction.
I am having an issue with assigned parking spaces. GSX and Beyond ATC are in use, so the issue could be either of those or FS24 scenery. On many occasions, I am told that the aircraft is too big for the space; however, I have seen much larger jets in the same parking. I would not think that the Cessna Longitude would need anything bigger than a “Small” parking, but often I am told that this aircraft is too big for a medium space, even though ATC (both game and beyond versions) have assigned it to me.
This leads me to think it is a GSX issue, but I am not sure. Has anyone else had and solved this?

Thanks for your help.

Are you using a custom GSX profile for the Longitude? If yes, try removing it. Those can be found at %AppData%\Virtuali\Airplanes

Is it GSX that’s telling you the plane is too big? There is a setting to ignore that in one of the GSX menus

Moved to User Support Hub for community assistance.

I think it is GSX. I am using GSX without any changes as it was initially downloaded. I did wonder if a more accurate profile was available, but I wanted to ask here first in case it was a known thing.
Thanks for your help

Thank you, I was aware of this rule, but as I was unsure which part of my combination of software was causing the issue, I started here due to the excellent knowledge base this community has. I could have just as easily started at the GSX or Beyond ATC forums, which would have probably said the same as you. Now I am more convinced from the help here that it is a GSX issue, so I will be asking there. Thanks to all who replied

It’s almost definitely GSX, specifically the parking spot settings in the GSX profile of a given airport. The easy fix: When you’re in a spot, you can “Edit Parking Position” in the GSX menu and press a button next to the wingspan limit (shown in meters) to match your current plane’s wingspan and avoid getting the “This parking is too small for your aircraft”. (I don’t have the sim open in front of my, so this is by memory.)

Lots of airports have community-developed as well as official GSX profiles, often found on flightsim.to or scenery developer websites. They may have more accurate parking wingspan limits than what you’re seeing.

Note that you can still park wherever you want to…it’s just an annoying voice that tells you if it’s too small, nothing more. Even if you’re flying with live or generated traffic, clipping wings at parking spots with other planes won’t hurt anything (except “immersion”, lol).

Sure it’s GSX, meaning the one telling the airplane is too small is GSX, but it’s not a GSX “issue” as the OP said, it’s just how it’s used normally and there are multiple ways to deal with it, as you explained correctly.

Correct. More exactly, it’s a “designed feature” of GSX. (Love the new parking map, by the way…that’s a game changer!)
