Okay, so with FS2024’s Longitude I have a few questions (one is in another topic):
Is there a way to remove the ‘cloth’ covers on the engine? I’m guessing this is why the battery won’t go to 0 and I can’t start the engine. I followed the steps that I used in FS 2020.
Is there a way to remove that tag that says remove before flight (or is that supposed to be removed automatically)?
Are the wheel chocks supposed to stay there or can I remove them (how?). I think that’s why I can’t get the tug from pushing me back.
you can remove them by clicking them from the external walkaround view.
the front pitot cover is easiet to click from the right side of the airplane.
the chocks under the front wheel don’t seem to have a click spot but the rear wheels do, this removes all 3 wheel chocks.
the covers should be pretty easy to click from the left engine.
there is another bug about the external lights being misaligned so they don’t really light anything except the tires up at the moment.
to go to the cockpit you can open the left front door by clicking it, then click on the stairs.
alernatively i think you can hotkey entering the cockpit but i’m not sure if that is enabled by default. edit: the hotkey is called “take control of character” it does not seem to be mapped if you use the 2020 bindings
the 2024 bindings have wsad mapped for character movement but unfortunately they didnt copy those over to the 2020 bindings. personally i switched to the 2020 bindings right away so it took me a while to figure out why my guy was just stuck haha.
i have since taken the 2020 ones duplicated into a custom profile where i added the wsad keys for walking around and it works ok.
the relevant bindings are in the “player character” category, look for “MOVE FORWARD”, “MOVE BACKWARD”, “STRAFE LEFT”, “STRAFE RIGHT”
theres a bunch more for running, crouching etc i haven’t really dived into those yet
“TAKE CONTROL OF CHARACTER” is another useful one that will swap you in and out of the plane
I have the fenix a320 (msfs2024) I always find myself walking around the plane and I can never get to the cabin. Is there a solution for this? Can I turn off that first person mode and appear in the cockpit right away?
