Brief description of the issue:

Pause flight about an hour in. After resuming, the avionics restart causing the plane to go into a fatal spin

normal flight at cruising altitude after approximately an hour pause the flight.

Assuming you are using the active pause, not sure this is a bug. The active pause functionality is not intended for long pauses as explained in below topic. Instead an alternative pause functionality should be used:

Not using active pause. I press the start button which brings you to control options etc. pressed start again after changing no settings and the Garmin begins to align itself as if you just powered on the avionics. Plane immediately goes into spin. I was using autopilot cruising at altitude 430.

Do you have the option with the Xbox to setup that Pause functionality ?:

Setting Pause on/off
- Go to Options>Controls screen and select the keyboard. Make sure to set the filter to ALL!!!
- Search for SET PAUSE OFF and SET PAUSE ON. I assigned P to PAUSE ON and control-P to PAUSE OFF (yes, you need two keys) but you can assign anything you want, of course. There is as yet to toggle key for this option.
