I am trying to load the following flight plan generated by Simbrief:
KMCO/35L N0469F450 FATHE3 VIYAP Q87 JROSS Q135 CUDLE Q117 SAWED Q97 ZJAAY JIIMS4 KPHL/27R
I tried importing it using the EFB and the Simbrief Dispatch applet. The EFB flight plan tool does not import the en-route waypoints and the destination airport. The SID is imported but the rest of the flight plan does not get imported.
There are no error reports. If I use the send to avionics feature, the map of the G5000 does not display a track but the waypoint list below the map shows the SID waypoints. Looking at the flight plan in the G5000, there are no en-route waypoints loaded.
So, I manually inputted the flight plan into the G5000, departing runway, SID, Waypoints without airways and arrival proc. The flight plan looks okay but the map does not show a track and, the PFD does not show a CDI as it should when there is a valid flight plan in the FMS.
I flew the plane along the course but the NAV feature of the autopilot does not engage. I can set dct couses to each waypoint along the way but the navigation fails completely.
This is a real problem because it plays havoc with any IFR flight. Now, the kicker is that sometimes, when I encounter such a problem (it is not unique) I can usually restart the sim several times and eventually, it fixes itself. However, this flight plan brakes it completely without recovery.
I am not going to cry the blues about it but it really affects my on-air activities. I have to revert back to msfs 2020 to participate in on-air activities because of this problem.
I would appreciate any feedback on what I could possibly do to work around this problem.
