Finally starting to get the sim setup for 2024 and just looking to the experts here for clarification on a few addons that I presently use in 2020 to see if they are 1) still required in 2024 and 2) if yes, do they work currently in 2024.
AIG - From my understanding, not yet supported in 2024
We Love VFR - I believe I read that ~90% of this is incorporated into MSFS2024 and is not required
Power Lines and Project Lifts - I Saw these aren’t available for download anymore, not sure where they stand with 2024
GAIST - From my understanding this team also worked with Asobo to get this natively into the sim, after reading some forum posts doesn’t appear to be working quite right yet? What about the GAIST addon itself, is it supported in 2024?
Seafront Simulations - I believe they may be in same boat (so to speak) as GAIST?
South Oak FS Birds - I don’t believe is working yet?
I think everything else I’ve got working, or hard confirmation it doesn’t work.
No to No. 3 and 4. Seafront Sims is actively in DevSupport on the BGL offline issue fix which now appears won’t make it into SU1, and same situation with Large Package Streaming.
BGL affects GAIST directly as this is the only way Henrik’s ships schedules/routes work. Also has an effect on Seafront Sims.
Package Streaming also an issue for Seafront, as any of his customers on Marketplace can’t stream his packages at the moment.
FS Birds works but I bought mine from an external market, so they’re sideloaded for me. There are some oddities I’ve seen - like flocks starting and stopping in mid flight, almost stuttering. I talked to Oak and they said they haven’t seen any showstoppers. I need to report that back to them.
Sorry, No as it’s not working, definitely not GAIST. Only implied for Seafront as I’m watching the issue he opened in DevSupport, but it sounds like it’s a no go.
