I’m just sharing all these kind of relatively short flights +/- 30 minutes. Maybe people are interested in flying the PMDG (for example) but don’t have hours of time. Sometimes I fly the PMDG DC-6, but for short “fuss around with it” flights.
I like the DC-6 because I don’t need a post graduate degree in computer science to fly it.
Haha love this one. It was in my basket already so many times! The PMDG 737 is not that hard to fly, I have a starting tutorial on my channel, after watching that one I guarantee you can perform a LNAV flight + ILS landing.

Before I forget…
With a dutch/european PPL it’s required to do a few checkrides with a local African flight instructor.
Mainly because of some differences in procedures.
When we arrived at the local flightschool we met our instructor.
A very friendly young lady ( 23 years of age at the time and just 3 month in possession of her instructors licence) welcomed us and during this introduction she asked my brother what he is doing for living and about his flying experience.
He answered: well, I’m a former fighterpilot, own my own flightschool in the Netherlands and work as a captain 777.
You could almost hear the crickets buzzing through her head, realizing that she would in not a single way be able to learn my brother to fly this 172.
Ok, but this was about the local procedures so after a quick walkaround we jumped into the bird, woke her up and after completing the checklists we taxied towards the holding point.
During taxi I could hear her say that my brother was allowed to take-off but… if anything serious would malfunction during this stage and below 1000ft , she would take controls by saying ‘my plane’
We all had big fun during the entire flight ofcourse.
The best parts were flying around cape of good hope and a pretty low ( 200ft ) fly past an abandoned lunarpark.
Hopefully afterward in the “Pilot’s Hangar”, the three of you were able to enjoy a pint or two and yarn about the adventure!

It’s a pity you didn’t get a picture of the expression on her face - I bet it took a couple of minutes for her to get her eyes back in and her jaw off the floor!
Hahahaha, it indeed took her a ‘few’ minutes to relax and get back into her role…
JetBlue has a bunch of short flights out of their JFK hub
Southwest Airlines has a lot of short flights out of Orlando and Dallas Love field
American Airlines I think also has a few short hops out of Salt Lake City
Or even shorter than from airport to airport. Just put the marker somewhere nearby the airport
