Looking for tips on how to get the most out of new system

Got a new system on the way First dedicated fs system in 15 years . not as savvy as i used to be so look for tips on how to get most out of it ,also debating of to go fhd 2k or 4k

Can only suggest that you go with 2K rather than 4K with a 3060 GPU.

I’m running a RTX3060 12gb also, 2k might be ok. If you want to use ultra settings in the sim, you would be better at 1080p. That being said, I am using a 1080p TV and have good results up to 1440p using dldsr, so you might be good.

I have found after much tinkering that I get the best performance using Nvidia Super Resolution and the DLAA setting in DX12 beta.

I use the 12 beta because I also use a second 1400x900 monitor for displaying the TBM g1000 and g3000. DX12 allows for hardly any reduction in FPS due to extra popped out panel gauges. This gives me 60fps with vsync on in the sim.
