Hi there , just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and knows how to fix it
I have music playing in menus always , and when i first start a flight i get sound in the game, but if i pause the flight (ESC) and then resume it , the noise in game SOMETIMES disappears. It does not reappear if i start a new flight and i seem to be only able to get the sound back in flight by restarting the whole simulator
It does NOT happen always , but seems to happen on multiple aircraft , ie very frustrating and difficult to reproduce

It could be caused by an addon conflict, and the only way to prove that is to have the Community Folder empty.
I have had exactly the same problem twice last week.
Try.
Go to - options → general options → sound → main device output selection
Choose your output device.

Click OK → apply and save.
Happens to me too.
Switch to external view and back to cockpit view and the sound returns…for me anyway.

This used to work for me too. Lately, unfortunately, this issue has been happening more frequently and switching camera views no longer resolves it; I have to completely restart the sim.
…
Unfortunate.
I’m on SU10 beta and the problem seems to be fixed, whatever it was.

Not fixed fro me, tried everything…
The problem still persists. When using pause (not active pause), the sound will disappear during pause yet also after unpausing. Sound comes back when I move the trhottle lever… This is quite anoyying
I cannot set a normal pause event because “toggle pause” is incorrectly named showing the menu!!! So there actually is no toggle pause in the sim… Only thing that helped was using different keybindings for pause and unpause which is ridicoulous (Pause = “P”, Unpause = “Ü”). Who programs something like this?
Same problem, has not resolved post SU10 unfortunately. Whenever I pause the sim for an extended period of time, there’s a 50-60% chance I will lose all aircraft sound (although all the menu sounds remain).

Still happening. Really? Pretty simple thing to fix I would imagine. I’m going to put in a ticket.

Go to an External view and back into a cockpit view and you should get your sound back.
