Pretty certain this problem is with microsoft flight simulator, I say this because this issue ONLY happens to me in microsoft flight simulator on Xbox series X yet a couple of other games with mouse support on xbox such as call of duty NEVER have this problem not even once and I have played call of duty every day for months with a mouse and no problem not even once
Yes, I totally agree. This is a specific MSFS issue.
Iâve also tested other games and new Edge Browser on Xbox directly after mouse got freezed in MSFS (without restart console) and it was working perfectly fine - therefore it must be caused somewhere in the simulator.
I was a bit shocked as Jörg said he doesnt know about this problem ![]()
I have the same problem and without the mouse is the game unplayable for me ![]()
The cursor is stuck on the middle and cant move anymore or click but if you hold the right mouse button you can move the camera.
The mouse is working perfectly on other apps/games on my Xbox.
If I restart the game it works again but get stuck again after some minutes.
I use ad wired Mouse + Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas One
on Xbox release all was perfect but after the first 1-2 patches I got this issue every time so something went wrong in this updates.
So again please everyone who have this problem file a zendesk report.
I am new here, how do I do this ? do you have a link for me please ?
Check this link. You need to register and send a new request

I have just submitted a Zendesk ticket for this too. I suggest you all do as if we donât officially highlight it it wonât get the attention it deserves.
Just submitted too
I was shocked too, i kept asking during the stream and the answer he gave was both surprising and shocking, been having this issue since launch.
Also use the Hotas One, a Keyboard wired and a wired mouse, and offcourse the xbox controller, maybe its an issue with the hotas one that overrides the mouse or something in anycase it needs to get fixed
I have a similar configuration and I am fortunate not to have a problem with the mouse. But for sure the implementation of the mouse is not perfect and I am wondering if the problem of losing control, comes from the MSFS game or the Xbox console.
Indeed, as I explained in another topic, some functions are not part of MSFS, but more something like built-in (library) of the Xbox console. The virtual keyboard is one of this functions, and doesnât work with the mouse, but surprising, you can use the Hotas One to select the keys!
I can say that there is no conflict between the mouse and the Hotas One, as this configuration work fine for me.
I canât say for sure, but I suspect the mouse issues are from the Xbox system and not from MSFS. If you look in the main menu of the console, there is a âdevice and connectionsâ section with a âmouseâ tile. And there, we can change the speed of the cursor and invert main/secondary button. Therefore, it seems that the management of the mouse is partly done by the consoleand not by the game.
Sounds possible/plausible, but -
Mouse issues are not an xbox issue since i have no problems in any other game
Same here. No issues on any other titles or edge browser. Just MSFS. I too just put in a zendesk ticket. This needs a fix desperately, as it fully takes the wind from my wings.
I want nothing else but to jump in the sim right now. But I know my mouse cursor will inevitably crash out and itâll be another restart loop of insanity. No thanks.
For the Xbox series X I have found a way to get it to work ,at least for me. Starting with xbox powered off I plug in thrustmaster hotas and my mouse .power on xbox but DONT turn on xbox pad and DONT connect keyboard. Use the hat switch on the hotas to navigate to Microsoft flight simulator and use the A button on the throttle to start up flight simulator. When the press any key to start appears on screen right or left click on the mouse,if it goes to the next screen mouse control will be ok.once you get to the flight simulator home menus plug in the keyboard and all should work OK. Iâve spent a few days testing this 50 trys like this have been100% successfull where as having the key board plugged in before starting flight simulator only 3 times worked So for me at least this is working at the moment
MODERATOR EDIT:
I only have the mouse problem in the cockpit. I canât click the buttons inside the cockpit and the mouse right click is not activated. However, I have no problem with composite external images and applications.
Sometimes when I turn on the simulation, the mouse doesnât work at all.
Iâve registered with the Flight Simulation team, but thereâs still no freeze.
Conclusion: I havenât been able to fly in 10 days!
Ben mouse sorununu sadece kokpit icinde yaĆiyorum.
Sounds like a weird workaround, but if it works for you thatâs great. I would give it a try, but have an xbox pin to enter which needs either controller or keyboard input (I doubt the joystick could be used for this purpose!)
I had my wireless mouse freeze on me yesterday on the world map, the mouse just stayed in place, upon flying I could still use the zoom function with the mouse wheel but the mouse cursor was still just frozen on screen.
Yes, thatâs the issue which we all having - more or less reproducible. Vote this Bug here and please also file a ZenDesk Ticket.
That is exactly what happens most frequently with me, mouse cursor freezes on map/flight planner/menu drop downs, can still use scroll wheel and right button to look around cockpit with. Iâm using wireless kb/mouse too. Very occasionally mouse will freeze somewhere in cockpit, but more often than not its on the world map/flight planner UI.
As yet its just the world map for me, but yep exact same as you mention.
