Recently upgraded to Windows 11. On Jan 31 opened up Flight Sim to download new update but not available at that time but instead got message to download a mandatory update of 1.88GB done and no problem. Came to load new update on 2 Feb to discover the APP had disappeared so no way to get into programme. Looked at my PC programme files and unable to find anything to do with Flight Sim. It seems the programme has been deleted. Can this happen ? Having paid for the programme can I re-load it from MIcrosoft store. Any help would be appreciated
If you bought it from the Microsoft Store, you need to go into the Microsoft store and check for updates. Among other things you will need the Xbox app from the MS Store.
Once that’s installed, login with your Xbox ID (Microsoft ID / Live ID - its all the same) and you should see Flightsim in there.
Don’t worry about the different versions, just install Standard (its a bit slow and doesn’t look like anything’s happening when you click on “install” but it takes a few minutes.
Once the standard version is installed, if you have purchased premium or premium deluxe, they will show as additional downloads in the In Game marketplace.

This would be the Microsoft account you used when you bought the product. It might be your hotmail or outlook.com account, but it could just as easily have been set up with another email account.
It may already be set up on your PC. You might see it here… Open the Windows Store app and click on the little profile as arrowed in the screenshot below…
