I have tried just about every combo of turning live weather, multiplayer and AI traffic on and off and still can’t get the dumb thing to work…it worked when i first played but after an MP session with friends it stopped and i cant get it back.
What is the correct series of cryptic options do you need to have to get the d@mn thing to work?
I find it won’t let me change weather if I’m in a multiplayer free flight. I have to turn off multiplayer when setting up a free flight and I can control weather again. I think you can have AI traffic and live ATC though I haven’t fully tested it all.
Oh, it’s certainly a bug. I reported it to Zendesk (and you should too), but I can imagine what priority they give to a bug that only two people seem to experience…
@TheChugster. Hi. I think I might be able to shed some light onto this bug. I will post an image of my “Request” on Zendesk on this same issue, but mine is the ATC panel that can’t be enabled. To clarify, EnterableSleet1 & SlidStew01 Xbox accounts are under Microsoft family accounts.
In short, please do not reinstall MSFS again. Changing the Settings also does not solve it. This is most likely an Xbox account sync issue as the issue persists when installing on another PC with the same account. This is why reinstalling will keep the same settings & key bindings as these are probably stored in an Xbox cloud. Maybe resetting MSFS game data on the Xbox cloud (somewhere I don’t know) will solve the issue? (Haven’t tried this)
@TheChugster@ojhwel Guys I have possibly some solutions that are worth a try! And it’s thanks to the community.
This is how I solved my greyed/grayed out ATC panel. It may help yours too, maybe the AI Control Panel, or Weather panel? And yes, tinkering with the settings in this BUGGY sim helps solve some issues.
Thanks for the shout-out. Unfortunately it didn’t change anything for me. I think the game believes it’s showing the AI Control panel (I sometimes see it for half a second when starting a flight).
But you made me find the “Let copilot handle ATC communications” setting in Assistance which I’d somehow always missed, thanks for that!
