Loupedeck Live In MSFS 2024

Has anyone been able to get a Loupedeck Live working for MSFS 2024?

If so, could you be kind enough to share how you did so please?

I used the calibx msfsdeck plugin (I believe now available on github as it doesnt seem to be in Loupedecks own marketplace anymore) extensively in MSFS 2020.

If I try to import the plugin in the Loupedeck software I get a message that it “Cannot import profile because application Msfs is not found”. I am using v 5.9.1.19364 of the Loupedeck software (the latest one that the MSFS plugin worked with in 2020).

Thanks!

Yes! Anyone with advice on this would be appreciated.

Thanks!

So I think I may have accidently figured it out. I went and reinstalled Simconnect to the 2024 community folder and that seemed to work.

Hi,

Thanks, glad to hear it should work!

Did you still have MSFS 2020 installed with the Loupedeck working when you installed MSFS 2024 (& later SimConnect)? I think when I previously installed SimConnect there wasn’t a location option, did you find it and move a file to the community folder?

Thanks

The plugin works great with MSFS 2024. Here’s how to set it up:

  • Download and install the Loupedeck 5.9.1 software (not version 6.0.2) from Loupedeck website (sorry I’m not allowed to post a link here)
  • The plugin is no longer available on the marketplace, so you need to install it manually from GitHub repository (search : calibx msfsdeck)
  • Once the plugin is installed, select the MSFS profile manually in the Loupedeck software and set the dynamic mode to OFF

Thankyou!

I should have posted that it was up-and-running, using the steps above. I found that the Loupedeck software (5.9.1) refused to install the latest version of the plugin but 2.4 (which I think was the last version in the LD marketplace) from the GitHub page installed fine.

I just converted from explain to MSFS 2024. I was able to get my loop deck working with the plug-in, but when I try to switch radio frequencies, they don’t change fluidly and kind of jump around. Anybody else has this problem?

I am trying to get a Loupedeck Live working in fs2024, without success.
I managed to install the Flightsim plugin from CalibX, version 2.4
The Loupedeck software is 5.9.1
The buttons and dials appear on the Loupdeck and when I push or dial, I see a small info box on the computer screen that reflects the changes. But in FS2024, nothing happens, there seems to be no connection. Is there anyone who could give me some advice on this? I read about simconnect.dll and about the location of the community folder, but I have no clue what I should install where. Thanks a lot for your help

Do you have the MSFS profile selected (centre of the 3 drop-downs at the top of the Loupedeck software) and do you have Dynamic Mode (on the same drop-down) to Off?

yep, had that selected. I returned the Loupedeck to the shop, mainly because I found it too complicated to get it to work. Now I use a midi DAW controller from Novation with lots of sliders and buttons and I bought Axis and Ohs, Works perfect for me!

It would be nice to get confirmation from CalibX that this is the case, but I have seen other Aircraft creators say they are waiting on fixes from Asobo in order to release updates to some 3rd party aircraft. It would not surprise me in the lease if control binding issues exist affecting calibx’s work as well.

I believe the developer has indicated it is now compatible with the 6.x version of LoupeDeck.
But I am having issues connecting. I created a profile, and there is no way to delete it. I see the actual profile with all the buttons mapped but I created one that I can’t delete, which has the mapping missing. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I am about to try and get this working. Have just gotten the 4.0 release from CalibX github. I have sorely missed having my Loupedeck Live functioning for AP controls in MSFS.

Also just saw that Loupedeck is discontinuing their product line and is now part of Logitech Creative Console. Check the Loupedeck website for more info, I can not post a link.
