A pretty basic guide to using mklink to create symlinks when you are low on disk/storage space on your MSFS drive/storage. In particular, this one covers FSLTL and installing it to a second drive/storage with how to then link it to your MSFS Community directory/folder
Or just use an Addon-manager? No need to manually handle symlinks.
You make it sound like it’s a difficult thing to do, it’s not. It also means you can use the technique for just about ANY sim/game. A lot easier than having 20 addons one for each sim/game.
Then why would one need a 43 minute long instruction video? ![]()
Having an app which takes care of everything + the ability to enable/disable add-ons on the fly without ever the need to open a command prompt does sound like a lot easier to me.
And since this is a MSFS forum, I’ll indeed suggest MSFS tools. Plus the whole premise of the video is moving those 20 tools/addons you have anyway, right? ![]()
Because it shows it in action as well. It also explains the basics of file systems and how to change the FBW installer to correctly install it.
I do not know why you think I said 20 tools for MSFS. I did not.
Tools for each sim/game, as I said, not 20 tools for MSFS.
I also had addons linker, I wanted to do it myself, as having a massive program to do one tiny thing is not elegant.
We already know you use a linker, as you mentioned it in the last post.
This is for people who don’t want to use it.
You do, so this video is not for you.
We get that… we got it last time as well, probably.
