Low FPS and MFS 2024 unflyable at all

Hello everyone!

For the past month, I’ve been trying to optimize and configure new MFS2024 to work seamlessly with my system and, conversely, adapt my system to run it properly. I have i7-1400KF with NVME SSD and RTX 4070ti on it.

And later I’ve found optimal settings that should work fine.

In comparison, MFS 2020 runs well on my system every time — it’s stable, with no major lags or issues. When I run MFS 2024 on the same setup, it initially works more or less okay. During aircraft setup, taxiing, and takeoff, everything is fine. Sometimes there are slight FPS drops to around 60, but it’s not critical.

Main issues start during landings and after.
When I approach final destination airport, whether it’s a custom scenery downloaded into my community folder and stored locally on my SSD or a default airport streamed from MFS 2024 from the cloud, the result is the same. Upon approach, when I’m about 1,000 feet above the ground, the simulator begins to lag severely and my FPS drops hardly. And when I’m taxing to the gate, my FPS drops to near-zero levels, and this doesn’t depend on the settings. No matter what I set — medium, low — nothing changes.

I’m genuinely starting to feel hopeless and can’t figure out how to enjoy flying in new sim because nothing seems to help.

I’ve tried everything I possibly could and still can’t figure out what else to do. Either the developers fix this issue and make it flyable, or I’ll continue flying in MFS 2020. For now, I’ve made the decision to return to MFS 2020 — everything works perfectly there. I load it and fly perfectly with 100+ FPS on high end preset.

Flying in MFS 2024 just isn’t possible for me at this point, and with all the long cloud streaming load times, I’m not convinced things will get simpler or smoother going forward.

But I’ve to say once again - when I change settings after landing at the gates, nothing changes.

Maybe I’m not alone and somebody has the same.

Currently the main way that 2024 provides enjoyment (at least for me) is making us appreciate 2020 so much more for what it is! Going back to a smooth and stable 2020 feels like a whole new (and better) sim.

Finally moved to MFS 2020.
Freezes and bugs in menu, low fps no matter what settings are set is a total mass.
Thank you Microsoft for getting 200 euros from me for Aviator edition that I can’t normally use.

P.S. cloud gaming is not for us, really. Give us a chance to locally store main data, optionally maybe.
