I have an HP omen laptop I bought earlier this year with an RTX 2060 + i7 10750h with 16gb of ram and I’ve been getting like 12 to 20 Fps even at the lowest settings. Anyone know why?
Does it perform as expected in other games or software?
Any background processes that use CPU or GPU (check in Task Manager)?
What is your MSFS drive SSD, SSD NVme ?
What is your GPU and DDR video ram capacity
What is your internet ADSL, fiber etc…
Three important parameters
As it is a laptop, what are your thermals like?
Sound like it might be running on your integrated GPU instead of the dedicated card. Make sure you switch MSFS to run in “High Performance” mode in Windows settings graphics options.
Additionally, If you can access your Laptop BIOS, try to find a setting called Hardware Virtualization Technology and VT-d or something similar to that (this setting is generally enabled by default). I disabled on my BIOS and my FPS jumps from 10-15 on lowest setting, into stable 30 fps on ULTRA. I’m not saying you’ll get 30 fps on ULTRA with your hardware, but hopefully it would be an improvement for you.
Hi SaltyGarbage673,
I have a similar problem with an HP Envy, similar spec. Did you manage to solve the issue? If so, could you please post a reply to my Topic here:
