Massive FPS drop because of SU9

I my particular case, everything is quite smooth with the exception that now I have to lower cloud quality to Mid in order to maintain same smoothness. I was able to maintain 40fps locked with cloud set to High before the update. This is with a GTX1070, same drivers.

After playing a few hours, FPS drops from 40 to 5FPS
