GIGABYTE G5
Windows 10 Pro 64bit
i5-11400h
RTX 3050 TI
16GB RAM
2TB M2 SSD (enough space still available)
With Fenix A320 latest Version before Latest MSFS Update (the build before):
18-24FPS on EDDB Custom HD Airport, 35FPS in Cruise Altitude
Same Plane, same version, latest MSFS Update:
11-15FPS on EDDB Custom HD airport, 20-24FPS in Cruise Altitude.
(I don’t need an explanation on why I should immediatly upgrade my PC/Laptop or why I should stop playing MSFS. I’m 15 years old, no job, no money to buy a +1000$ Gaming PC and Power comsumption would be too expensive in my country, Germany).
GPU Usage on ground with latest MSFS update is around 50-70%, CPU is 40% on all cores and one core is at 100%. RAM Usage by MSFS is 8GB, overall 11/16GB of the whole system.
TLOD/OLOD is 100, every setting is at medium and TAA + 100% 1080p Resolution (changing it don’t increase FPS at all, I can increase to 140% with only GPU usage changing but FPS not).
The issue also happens with the same Addons List, before and after the MSFS update. I know, that FPS difference is so low for you 1000$ Gaming PC users, but for me its painful and awful. I would like to know any fix and appreciating any help.
Hi @PrintedLocket20,
Quick question - which update are you referring to - World Update 18 (DACH) or the NavData & World Hub Update?
Thanks!
to be exact, I mistoke it. I meant the SU15 Update, that gives me lower fps than before. I didn’t know when SU15 was released, so I assumed its the latest one.
I also deleted Rolling Cache already and tested without Community Mods/Custom Scenery. Unfortunaly no difference
Hi @PrintedLocket20,
SU15 was released on May 20th. If you have only been having lower FPS recently, I doubt if SU15 is the cause.
I have noticed that the FPS on my PC have been impacted by the higher-fidelity data included in the latest World Update (18). Have you installed this and / or WU17?
If you are seeing lower FPS when flying in the areas covered by these two updates - or possible the recent city updates too - but not when flying in older scenery areas (e.g. in Africa), then one option would be to reduce some of your graphics settings, which is what I needed to do on my PC in order to fly with minimal stutters in the new high-density scenery areas included in WU18. Even so, over-flying Frankfurt, for example, still causes my FPS to drop below 30.

I noticed a definite drop in framerate immediately after SU15 was installed. I always clear my caches after an update, so that wasn’t the cause.
I also noticed a dramatic improvement in overall smoothness (especially when panning the camera) and much less stuttering. The FPS loss was there, but it didn’t bother me one bit. I’ll trade smoothness for FPS (up to a point, of course) any day.

I don’t know if you’ve read through the thread linked below yet.
Others have been able to replicate my findings.

TLDR: In certain areas my FPS counter shows a 40-50% increase when I restart the flight. It’s 100% repeatable, and I submitted a bug report about it.
In other areas I don’t see the lower framerate.
That’s the issue. If I lower the settings, I dont gain fps. My GPU/CPU usage just gets lower, in this case, it seems like it doesn’t want to work and give me more fps
