Does this continue to happen if you click on the message itself?

And If that doesn’t clear the message ^
Check Market Place also. You may be missing a required download from there.

By clicking on the message (or Bell Icon) it does clear the message. But if I do a flight and exit back to main menu, it re-appears. The sim is not affected in any way that I can tell.

Thanks. I have checked market place extensive for possible missing updates and there’s nothing that I can see. I seems to have been connected (not that I can prove it but just an observation) to market place purchase of Niagara Falls Scenery addon last week. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no change to my issue.

Have you deleted any content from previous WU’s/CU’s (such as POI’s/cities, etc)? I had an issue where it kept telling me to update something but I couldn’t see anything to update. I went back and installed the POI’s and some other stuff I had deleted earlier, and then there was something showing in content manager to update, and it finally cleared my notification. I then uninstalled what I didn’t want again, and it didn’t give me the notification any longer.
Regards

I suspect this might be my issue. I have deleted 3 NZ sceneries because of my Orbx Milford Sound addon scenery. I’m wondering why no one else who purchased MF scenery has this issue though?

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

yes

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

have the issue since December 28th I believe.
The Popup comes when starting the sim, and also when returning from a flight to the main menu (even if the message has been discarded before).
When I go to the content manager, there is no update available.
I checked in package view and in the individual item view.
I have the suspicion that this happened after I have uninstalled the A310, because on Dec 28th I bought the A300 from inibuilds and uninstalled the A310 therefore. Is this the case with someone else?

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

The A310 is a default aircraft and would trigger that message.

If you deleted three default sceneries, that is probably the cause.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

Yes I’ve had this issue for about 6 days now.

Using Microsoft Store version of MSFS 1.35.21.0
After loading into the sim, I’m seeing a notification that I have an update in the Content Manager, though nothing new appears in the Content Manager. Clicking on the Notification removes the message, but it re-appears ~30 mins later or after reloading back to the main menu.
I’m also having issues with the A310 and thought it might have been related to that so I removed it from the OneStore folder, along with the whole Community Folder. But I’m still getting the update notification.

I bet if you look down the list some will say “Partially Installed“.

This morning the issue seems to have resolved itself. I’m no longer getting the notification.

Yes

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

Thanks to the tips above, I looked under ‘not installed’ for any packages that were ‘partially installed’ and might be contributing to this message. I found 2: Dune Add-on (which is odd because I don’t recall installing anything from it) and World Update X: USA. I’ve now completely uninstalled both. I can confirm the ‘updates available’ notification no longer appears, even though it was consistently appearing before.

i have the same problem.im not very technical but i haven’t altered any of the settings since i downloaded the game.this started after i downloaded the dune update.the game also crashes a lot.

Could you check if in your content manager you have some items that say “Partially Installed“ ?. If it is the case you need to complete the download, it could be the root cause.
